PENNLINE QUIKFILL Plain Notebook PACK OF 2 – BROWN

I have been using Pennline Quickfill notebooks for some years now, they are excellent notebooks except that paper used in the notebook was not suitable for fountain pens. This one however has 100 gsm paper and it works well with fountain pens. It doesn't feather or bleed with the inks I have tried namely Diamine Asa Blue, J Herbin Perle Noir and Mont Blanc Midnight Blue. Satisfied with the purchase. Recommended.

I ordered these notebooks, because they were small, and compact than a A5 but slightly bigger than the pocket notebook. The delivery was prompt. I chose the dot grid notebook whose pages are off-white/cream. However, after writing with different fountain pens, I realized that while there was no significant feathering or spreading, there is definitely some see-through in the backside. This becomes prominent with broad nibs.The fine nibs do not pose that big a problem in this regard.Quikrite has a 100gsm variant known as "Rust" that is meant for fountain pen users. So if you are one of those, and you find the dimensions of this notebook attractive, you could explore the "Rust" variant. Though it only comes in ruled!

The finish of paper and its quality are both quite good. Not very thick paper, but I don't personally prefer thick myself. They're just the right thickness I believe.I love this paper count, not too many to feel the guilt of not using them all in a notebook. You can easily allot one book for different purposes.I also like the page size, although I'd have preferred something like A5. I use only unruled, so anyway there too few good options for that.The colors are also pretty, so is the subtle branding on the cover.The colored pages in the middle give a beautiful look to it.The area around the binding does wear with time, but it's a lot better than when the terrible wear of the leathery material in the binding of AmazonBasics' similar sized notebook.I looked at too many options after having had a bad experience with AmazonBasics' notebook, and I'm glad I found this one

These notebooks branded "Quikrite" are a sheer pleasure to use. Sized at 19 cm x 10 cm, they are small enough to fit easily into any bag (including a ladies handbag) and big enough to allow full writing of notes, checklists and thoughts. Very practical aids for people who like to plan and organize their lives !

One will observe a distinct deterioration in the quality of the paper used.I have a dotted paged note book from 2019 which handles fountain pen writing beautifully. I have provided a photo of lines penned with my Lamy Safari on this earlier note book.The present production of the same dotted pages have pathetic quality paper, which bleeds heavily when used with fountain pens. Refer to the sample picture of the same.Either William Penn is unaware of the reduction in quality by the vendor they have outsourced to or it is a deliberate step to cut costs.It is just NOT acceptable as William Penn is one of the most reputed sellers of FOUNTAIN PENS in India.

the material is very nice, the paper thickness is also appropriate for fountain pen. i have used pilot metropolitan on this and it writes smoothly with no bleeding.best material.
