I have tried to grow this plant from many sources and they all die. What am I doing wrong?

Your best chance is getting rooted cutting. Plant that in loose very well drained dirt. Please your plant in a shady area with plenty of light but no direct harsh sun. If you notice any sign of bugs or disease, simply spray it with a solution of 1 to 20 laundry or dish soap.
