Amazing socks. I've never actually owned any 'expensive' clothing before with most of it being cheap or second hand, so getting these was astounding.I took them for a short hike, only ~6 KM, but as a very sweaty person (the crack is like a waterfall and the feet, well, like a marshy swamp usually) that can get me pretty soaked, even without rain. Pairing the socks with some Gehwol foot cream, I noticed virtually no sweat. Any sweat that was there was absorbed by the socks, wicked away like nobodies business, and didn't actually get noted until I took them off.The sweat dried fast after that, and the socks were good as new. Smell fine, etc.I can't speak for durability since I've only worn them a couple of times, and not for any more than a few KM at once, however they're beyond comfortable and to my awareness, have a lifetime guarantee. Literally, lifetime.So, go and buy a pair and you'll have socks for life. Literally. Unless you break them purposefully, in which case you're a butt.

Without being hyperbolic, these are the best socks I have ever owned (I am wearing them right now on a cold winter morning). I have waited a year to write the review because often materials fall apart, but these are still going strong and look good as new.The size guide is accurate. They are nice and thick without being stiff or overwhelming, it also feels like they have extra padding on the sole so you get a nice cushion when you step.

I'm wearing these socks while i train for through hiking South America next year. Because of the number of miles that i'm walking carrying a pack, the seams on my usual socks are causing pressure on my toes. I bought these socks to see if they make any difference.I walked 12 miles yesterday carrying a pack and i'm much more comfortable wearing these socks. So far so good :)

The 4 stars are because the seller sent the wrong colour. The product itself is great, comfortable and both warm when needed and cooling when it’s warmer. Sorted a blister problem I was having with synthetic socks.

Best socks you can buy

Used 2 pairs for a 5 day trek. Very comfortable and even padding around the foot. Kept their shape. Aired overnight, very little smell. Would highly recommend.

Es lo que esperaba. De muy buena manufactura. Este modelo en particular fue exacto para mi talla. Otros modelos pueden variar. A la fecha he comprado tres de diferente modelo y el último me corta la circulación por lo apretado que está en la parte alta del empeine. Por lo anterior, recomiendo en particular este modelo.

I love good socks...but they are hard to find. At age 50, I find the more products I finally find and fall in love with, the more the companies who make those products I love, stop making them! A perfect case in point is the "Barn Sock" by Smartwool. As seen in the picture attached, I've had these socks for over 3 years and they still look like new. They are warm in the winter, cool in the summer and by far the best & most comfortable sock I had ever worn, so of course, they have stopped making them.Enter the Darn Tough 1405. I read through the reviews and for the most part, the masses seem to love this sock. There were even several reviews who indicated that they had worn the sock for several days in a row. With mostly good reviews, I decided to buy 7 pairs. Shipping was the fastest I have had yet and... WOW... these socks are as good as the Smartwool Barn Sock and then some! They are extremely comfortable to wear, lots of cushion and wash well. I wore them for a week and promptly ordered 7 more pairs. I will most likely buy in bulk all winter long as once again, I have found a fantastic product so there is a good chance it will be discontinued soon... LOL!Sizing:I wear a 10.5 US shoe and purchased the Large (10-12). I find they fit perfectly although I wonder if someone with size 12 feet would actually be able to wear a Large. I also purchased a medium pair for my wife who is a size 9 women's but she found them to be a little big.Value:In my opinion, value for the money is there. I did feel the socks were exceptionally expensive, however, when you consider that these socks are guaranteed for life, it takes a lot of that sting away.Darn Tough has found a customer for life here in New Brunswick.
