The Tiger JNP-1000 5.5 cup model is made in Japan for your reference. **Q: Can you keep it on warm setting for an indefinite amount of time, or will it shut off automatically after say 12 hours?** A: Indefinite amount of time, although with this Chinese made one, the vent is different (cheaper looking) and after a day your rice will start to smell.
