The stock pillion was bulky and ugly. I prefer the look of the bike without a pillion at all, but with the girlfriend in tow most of the time it is a necessity. I was looking for something smaller and more streamlined. Phantom Pad is definitely the way to go. The one I purchased has 6 suction cups on the bottom and a metal tab that allows you to use the same screw the stock seat used. The tab is nice because it insures the pad won't fall off if the suction cups fail and it is less likely it will walk away.My Harley is Black Denim (Flat Black). There was no mention of it not being compatible with denim paint on Amazon, but the instructions that came with it said not to use it on denim paints because the suction cups won't suction. I tried it before I freaked out. It seems to suction fine but I added another metal tab (from the stock pillion) so it now attaches to the fender in the front and back of the pillion just to be safe. You will have to drill some holes to so this though.Girlfriend Review:My girlfriend hates the seat and says it is way less comfortable that the stock pillion (Duh). I solely purchased it based on the way it looked. Of course less padding is going to be less comfortable. The description say it has memory foam, but in my experience "Memory Foam" and "Gel" labeled products are a sales tactic.
