This kettle takes almost 4 minutes to boil , i got rid of it and the new one takes just less than 3 mins , the benefit is almost 3 days a year extra i will not have to spend waiting for the darn thing to boil As youncan guess i drink a lot of coffee

Revised review: unfortunately after less than a year, the bottle, plastic part of the kettle has started to crack and peel away from the light strip area. Really hoping this does not get any worse! And feel it really should be happening after less than a years use... Great product. Very happy with purchase. Boils quickly and relatively quietly. Lights up the room at night. Have received compliments about it. Looks more expensive than what it is.

Great looking product and pours very well. We have had a few blue led glass kettles before but always had an issue with pouring being messy or slow pouring due to the design of the lid. This pours beautifully. The best we have found (so far?). The red and blue led's look good too but I have 2 issues with this kettle. First..it takes a long time to boil and then once boiling, takes a long time to switch off. Second..the design of the catch and hinge on the lid means steam escapes from the back of it above the handle when boiling and also when still hot. So if you need to switch the kettle off for any reason on the toggle switch at the top of the handle you meed to be careful. Because of the steam escaping at the back, it means pressing the catch back on the lid to refill or top up the kettle needs to be done carefully to avoid being burned by steam or you have to leave topping it up, or opening the lid, till it is sufficiently cooled down?

Ok so I'll start with the presentation of the kettle and it's box , it's an attractive looking kettle, has a tidy looking finish and a good sturdy box for transport. The lights are a nice touch and I like the Iridescent sheen it has on it , I wouldn't go as far as saying that it IS Iridescent it's more like 20% Iridescent. So the kettle I got it all unpacked. I live with chronic lumbar pain so the first thing I wanted to do was get it boiling for the hot water bottle. I filled it up and plugged it in , oh neat there is blue LEDS for when the kettle is plugged in, I flick the switch on and they turned red LEDS to signal it was boiling the water , it was on for maybe less than 40 seconds and there is this loud pressurised pop. The kettle stops boiling and everything in the downstairs of my house stops working as it's tripped a switch! So it blew a fuse on its first fill and boil. I have included before photo when all the lights were working and an after photo once I had replaced the fuse. It's blown 80% of its LEDS and the novelty with it. Yea its a pretty kettle but don't be fooled by that. I always thought this brand was a good brand but now my mind is changed. It hasn't been out the box for 5 mins and it's already broken. I wouldn't recommend the kettle. Amazon have offered me a replacement which I will take but I'm not confident at this stage that the next one will work. I'm not sure why it blew a fuse , is there not enough wattage ? Or is it just badly manufactured? But seriously and this price I would have expected more than a few seconds usage. Don't waste your money or time on this kettle.

Works as expected. We like the lights and that you can watch it boil. Would be better if the lights were red when hot and blue when cold instead of blue when power is on and red when it's heating up.

I bought this kettle about 3 months ago and recently it has started flicking to off when I put it on the boil, I have to press it a few times until it clicks and stays on boil which is a shame as it's a lovely kettle especially when all lit up. Ive seen numerous other reviews saying the same thing so maybe there is a design flaw?

I really like this kettle it’s easy to use and clean just descale everything 2 weeks to stop build up but it appears to have a loose connection at the bottom I will probably have to buy replacement soon and I have only been using this about a month now connection was a bit off from the start but has gotten worse over time

When my old kettle blew up, I saw this kettle online and it looked so good that I just had to have it, even though there was a review that suggested it might crack easily. Well, it is lovely looking, with an irridescent sheen on the glass, and it is also turning out to be very robust in use. I’m very glad I bought it!
