Review: Game-changer! Makes my Grease Trap much more manageable! - I had a need to install a Grease Trap in a new small kitchen, I had never used one before. After the install and the kitchen started to be used, I ignored the grease trap for several months after finishing the renovation -- big mistake! The grease build-up was intenseness... I had to pump it all out with my Wet/Dry Shop Vac and wipe it all clean, a disgusting job! After some research I found these Grease Trap Tablets by Beseder. I have been using them for 14 weeks now, and the difference is night and day! Instead of the disgusting grease, I can see evidence of the broken down tablet from the bright yellow color, and the grease build-up is all broken down. For my usage, I could probably do nothing at all except add a new tablet... The company says to add a new tablet every 2-4 weeks depending on your needs. My grease trap is small and use is relatively low (cooking for just 1 person), so instead of putting a whole tablet once per month, I cut up a tablet into quarters (very easy to cut with a kitchen knife) and add a quarter tablet every week -- that way the whole tablet won't dissolve all the way prior to the end of the month. I think this usage will prolong how long the box of tablets will last, making them very good value indeed. I recommend giving them a go!

**Q: Can you use this in a rv?**
A: It's a puck so don't know how you would get it down the drain into the tank.  There are RV specific products out there that work for tanks.  I wasn't really impressed with how this stuff worked anyway.

unless you're using these as intended you'll never really truly see results. I have an older septic system, not the aerobic one, so my results were a little more obvious since I can open my distribution tank and see down into it to monitor progress and piping. I noticed right away the smell was better. I have two distribution tanks actually, one that's a holding tank with all the paper items and "loads" and the grease trap dumps into that. It then goes into my second distribution tank to pump out into a leach field. So at the second tank, I noticed a massive change in the smell.. it doesn't smell like sewer so much anymore. I can only assume that putting these into the trap dissolved and mixed into the holding tank so it starts from the beginning and magically flows its way through the whole system. I also noticed a lot of gunk that used to be at the very top of the grease trap, isn't so thick anymore. If you've ever opening a grease trap, that first layer of grease is insane and smells horrific. after the 4th block I noticed it changing to a more goopy consistency rather than a block of lard. But like I said, you need to use it consistently. Im doing it once a month. you need to be able to to access your grease trap and if its buried you need to be able to lift the concrete (in my case) lid off it and you better be prepared when you do.
