Nice product
Nice fit, does the job when you are moving around preventing hernia protruding or getting worse

Keeps the hernia in and comfortable to wear.
Arrived quickly, nice colour. Very comfortable to wear all day, the pressure pad stays in place and does a good job of keeping the hernia in. Although the back folds up slightly after sometime it doesn't cause discomfort or affect the functionality of the product. I am very happy with my purchase, however when the time comes to replace it I may try one with a wider band.

Wonderful support .
I had retrospective surgery following bowel cancer surgery to repair a large abdominal hernia. This hasn't worked very well but I am not going back. However the surgery ignored an umbilical hernia I had which was relatively small , but has become larger. I have been wearing a strap for some years but decided to change . I am so relieved I did as my new strap is far more comfortable and doesn't stick out like the old one. I could not recommend it enough.

Very comfortable
Purchased this product as I have an umbilical hernia and I do a lot of manual work. Fits great and very comfortable and I don’t even know I’ve got it on. It’s breathable material and lightweight. Highly recommended.

Lost elasticity
It worked well but there are some parts which cause irritation against the skin. Now with continued use the elasticity is becoming slack so it is not as supportive as before :(

Great item
Fantastic item. Supports exactly where I needed it. At first can be fiddly to fit but soon worked it out. Only down side was no additional packaging, item was not in a bag and therefore anyone handling item could see what it was.

Worth trying but beware of the fastening instructions
Have had a number of different belts over the last year or so, whilst waiting to be seen about an umbilical hernia. The others have tended to either fray on the edges, or become too stretchy. They are meant to stretch a bit, of course, but they are also meant to offer support and hold everything in place. The pad to place over the hernia bulge has velcro on the back but does not stick onto the actual belt all that firmly. It could do with a velcro circle on the inside to attach it to, like some other cheaper ones have. It would just make the pad feel more secure. With all the other belts I've had the pad attaches to the left side and you overlap it, right over left. This belt says to attach it the other way round, put the pad on the right hand side and then overlap from left to right. This feels wrong for me and makes it difficult to get the pad in the right position and then fasten it. It's much easier to do it the other way so I'm having to turn the belt upside down so that I can still fasten it the way I am used to, right over left. Doesn't seem to make much difference, other than the logo is now upside down, but as it's not on show to anyone I can live with that! The fastening instructions are something to be aware of though. Edited: Mar 2026. So this seems to have finally given up to ghost. It's become rather too stretchy and not as supportive, though still wearable. I've worn it daily since I bought it and it's certainly lasted longer than any of the others I've had. It's still mainly intact, though one of the side supports has come unstitched slightly and it has started to curl over a bit at the sides where it's lost some of the tension. It was worth buying, just a shame it didn't last a bit longer. Just about worth 4 stars overall.

Bargain buy
Bought this for a dear friend who has a large hernia on her tummy. It smooths it out nicely and not uncomfortable to wear for a few hours when you want to look nice and not pregnant on a night out

Just opened the package and tried it on
A Dilettante Presumptuous Opinion: Don’t buy anything that does not say Medical (Grade) Hernia Belt. Don’t waste your monetary funds. Having a Hiatus Abdominal Wall Hernia is serious business. The danger for any kind of hernia is it could become twisted cutting off circulation. Per chance the circulation is cutoff, Godspeed yourself to the nearest Emergency Department. Decided to Choose the Everyday Medical Umbilical Hernia Belt: Male Size L/XL Height 6 feet- 2 inches Weight 225 pounds Abdominal Wall (not the waist-line) 45” The Hernia protrudes about 2-3 inches when rising from supine position. Just opened the package and tried it on. Moving from a supine position to a sitting position the Hiatus Hernia was held in very well with the Hernia barely expressed. Expected the Hernia Belt to be overly constrictive to assist securing the Hiatus Hernia within the abdominal wall. Well, this Medical Umbilical Hernia Belt does not feel constrictive at all. You can breathe as normal and its comfortable. It appears to not make you perspire. This appears to be good quality and made well. Prevent wasting your monetary funds by always reading the reviews on products, so you can make a wise decision. This was A Dilettante Presumptuous Opinion.

Totally awesome product for its purpose.
I purchased this to use immediately after I had an open umbilical hernia repair surgery a few weeks ago in hopes that it would be useful. I can speak from personal experience that this product is absolutely an everyday need for me. The detachable disc that goes over my bellybutton area felt like added support and protection I needed as I would go about during my recovery. In fact, I had it on consistently for the first two weeks post surgery. Only took it off when I showered but immediately put it back on to feel secure. That’s how comfortable and surprisingly a necessity for me to achieve a successful and easy recovery. Awesome product for its purpose.
