No need to spent the $ on a Graco or similar product. The 590 works amazing
I was excited to write this review after several months of use because if you are like me, you are hesitant in purching this unit for fear or undesired results or clean up hassle. I will say this, I would only recommend using water based paint, primer, and poly in this unit. Oil based requires too much time in clean up. This sprayer is awesome. I have used it to prime, paint, and Poly finish my custom built cabinets. I can achieve a professional finish with this gun. I built a spray booth in my Garage and after diluting the latex paint almost 10% and adding floetrol this gun sprays amazing for the price. I am the type of person that does not like brush marks and I am a good painter when it comes to using a brush or roller. Clean up is actually easy once you get the hang of it. Clean up takes about 25 minutes with latex paint for me now. I can paint one coat of a cabinet carcass or multiple cabinet doors and clean up in less than 1 hr. I would not recommend spraying oil based as it makes clean up too difficult. I have sprayed water based primer, latex, and water based poly with this with amazing results. Perfectly flat finishes without orange peel marks. Spraying Poly can be difficult however trial and error on test pieces is advised. Use premium latex paint with this gun and you will see amazing results. I have not yet tried the fine sprayer that comes with this unit. Am planning to try that soon in spraying some stain or dye. When diluting the paint I usually spray on or around the 5 power setting and back the nozzle control knob all the way back. From this position i slightly advance the nozzle knob until I achieve the desirable results. There is definitely a learning curve to this sprayer, in fact my first attempt using it failed miserably and caused me several hours of stripping and sanding down the poplar cabinet doors and face frame back down to bare wood. My issue was that I did not tighten the nozzle assembly tight enough causing splatter/globs to come out. This was of course user error. Diluting latex up to 10% and adding floetrol is a must to achieve professional results on wood. It allows the latex to dry slowly and level out eliminating orange peel effect. The floetrol allows the gun to spray the paint better and more consistently. Do not attempt to spray the paint without either of these. You will get frustrated and believe the error is on the product and not the user. My first cabinet received 10 coats between the primer, latex and poly and they turned out with a perfect professional look. In fact it turned out better than my friends custom cabinets that they spent 10K on. If you are like me and hate brush painting and want professional results with your paint then do not hesitate to get this sprayer. You will be glad you did. I could not afford to spend $500+ on a spray unit, and I am glad i didn't. I have used it outdoors, and indoor in a erected booth and both give amazing results. curing paint should be stored inside to eliminate bugs and dust particles from landing on the paint or poly.

Works great with Ready Seal Wood Stain
I was tired of always staining the deck by hand, especially the lattice, railing and balusters. I decided to try out a spray gun. Researched and researched and this one came back as what I decided the best option for performance and cost. I used the sprayer with Ready Seal Pecan wood stain with sprayer set on "light material flow" and air power "level 2".. I couldn't be happier with the results. My deck is 18' x22' and 14' off the ground. Lattice covers the sides all the way to the ground. I stained the outside of lattice only (roughly 800 sq. feet of lattice) Pros - Made staining the deck fun...well almost - Much faster than painting by hand. - Balusters and lattice were extremely simple. These are normally the worst parts of staining the deck. Cons - Overspray - Yes there is some overspray. I was prepared for this. I bought a bunch of cheap plastic tarps from walmart and taped them to side of house. Total cost of tape and plastic tarps about $15. - Remove paint cup - Removing the paint cup is difficult, especially once covered in paint. tried oil wrench and many other tools. Found easiest way to remove simply to place sprayer on ground, hold paint cup firmly between shoes and twist the top with my hands. Neutral -Weight - Yes the gun is heavy, but certainly manageable. Weight is mostly due to the large 1.5 quart paint cup. A smaller cup would make it lighter, but you would have to fill it that much more often. - Spray gun will splatter a bit the first second you squeeze the trigger, but the Ready Seal does not show any of these drips . It just soaks in evenly as it dries. - Paint Usage - Even with the overspray I found the spray gun to not use much more stain than when I have used a brush and roller in the past. I used 5 gallons to completely cover my large deck, lattice and railings as described above. Although not absolutely necessary, I did put a second coat on a few days later using an additional 4 gallons. - Cleanup - Cleanup consisted of running a quart of mineral spirits through the gun and taking a few parts off the nozzle. Fairly easy. Time to cleanup was probably no longer than cleaning brushes and roller. I highly recommend the sprayer. I debated for weeks before deciding to go this route instead of just staining deck by hand again. This was a no brainer $120 investment for the amount of time it saved.

Worked great to paint my basement
I purchased this sprayer to paint my basement. It is about 1,000 sq ft of space. We are finishing our basement so I used this to paint primer and two coats of Sherwin Williams Emerald paint. Both are fairly thick paints and I did not need to thin either. I would say the sprayer had a little difficulty with the primer. I had to stop to rinse out the nozzle about three times. The paint went on smoother but I also had to rinse out the nozzle. If you don't make sure the nozzle is clean it will splatter. I was able to finish all painting in two days and I think the sprayer was MUCH easier to use than rolling. I made sure to follow all directions and read reviews for tips before starting. You do need to back roll the paint after spraying as there is some spatter that happens when you first start up the blower. The back rolling with a regular roller helped to evenly distribute the paint and it was really easy to do. I would spray a section and them immediately back roll. It didn't add more than 30 seconds of extra time. I covered the ceiling with 15" of masking paper and that was plenty. I didn't need to cover the floor as it was cement but there is some significant over spray on the floor so make sure to cover that really well with plastic if you have flooring. I also wore a respirator, hat and safety googles as the paint gets into the air quite a lot. The sprayer worked so we that I even got a compliment on how well the paint look from professional painters who came in afterwards to fix some of the drywall mudding after painting.

World famous Wagner quality. One can adjust the pressure and also the volume of paint you require. Variable fan sizes. Easy availability of spare parts on Amazon itself and easy cleaning after work is done. Fits stronger and younger hands for continuous work as it is a bit heavy with the filled up paints. (age 50+) Painting works is completed fast...greatly saves time and labour cost and paint finishing is far far better than what is done by brushes or rollers. I sprayed PU, plastic and oil paints - works well with all the three materials but cleaning process to be done immediately after painting is done. Best quality.
