Apparently it is extremely hard to find a big thermo food container in US markets, perhaps because most of us have microwaves at work or just opt for takeouts. Laken's 50oz Thermo was one of my final choices, and I chose it due to its longer-than-average time for hot food insulation (promised to have 10 hours). One of the designs is simplistic with blue-grayish colors, which I really liked.The product arrived in good condition (although the package box was slightly worn). The cap of the container seals really well, and the steel body was solid. I have read enough reviews to have a mental preparation of the small sizes of the plastic containers. I have also thought about using the steel container only for my lunches. Alas: the reality hits and I am not mentally prepared enough.If the bucket was designed to be wider and shorter, it would have been nice to use it for my lunch. For its nearly 9-inch height, my hand needs to reach in quite deep to get the food out with a spoon. If I unwillingly employ the containers for my food, none of them reach my ideal size. (in my photos, I compared them to a 18oz plastic container from Lock & Lock. You can see how small they are. I am a male in my 30s, and they are too small for me.)I should also state that the seller should have listed the sizes of the three containers so the customers can have a better understanding. (The package box stated clearly, and I just don't understand why the seller refused to do so on the website.) They are 250ml, 250ml, and 375ml respectively. All of them added up to 875ml, which is a lot less than the promised 1500ml.Sadly I have decided to return this. However, I can think of some other groups of people might benefit from it:- Someone who wants to portion-control their lunch for a variety of reasons;- Children who wants to pot-luck food to picnics with their peers (not enough for the moms, but just for the children it will be enough);- Hospital patients who are slightly under appetite but wants some home-made food for a change;- cool dessert bucket for picnics (puddings+fruits, cheesecake, etc.)- Just an ice bucket for wine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by L***N on February 9, 2017* Omg I really expected for less, but this thermos is the bast . I go up to my Tower crane at 6 am , start it at around 12 once even at 2 pm and the food was still hot . Bottom line this is my best online purchase past few year .A little waitning : don't put the plastic boxes closed In the microwave , it can explode and destroyed the box ( Open plastic box in the microwave it's OK ) Anyway it was my mistake !!! The containers are easy to hand-wash (I ... *by M***A on April 23, 2018* I purchased it for my four-year-old son (he is now 5 years old). I prepare his lunch everyday and pack it at 6:30 am. He has lunch at 11:30 am. My son states his lunch it a bit cold by the time he has lunch. I checked it once and it was warm-cold. Hence, I avoid preparing sauce based meals. I can't include a salad or a cold entree since it gets too hot (possibly during the first hour). I have noticed the salad cheese (Manchego sheep's cheese) to get a bit melted. The main problem I have is the fact the lunch box is difficult to transport; thus, I place it sideways inside a standard American lunch box for kids. Hence, whatever I cook gets all mixed up ... and of course my son does not like it. The containers are easy to hand-wash (I do not have a dishwasher). The quality of the plastic is really good, it is almost a couple of years I use the plastic containers and they are in perfect condition.
