This is for one (1) quality marine grade stainless steel (AISI 316) 3" hinge. Each hinge is stamped 316 and laser etched 3 with the makers mark. The hinges are marked in the US specification style of 3". Not to be used for overhead lifting. AISI 316 stainless is a premium grade of stainless and is considered by many to be best in class. 316 stainless is corrosion resistant and very durable even in the harshest of conditions.

AVOID -- Rusts almost immediately, so NOT 316 stainless
See attached photo to see the condition of this hinge after 24 days at the beach. While the hinge is stamped "316", the hinge is almost certainly NOT actual '316' stainless. I have a house directly oceanfront and have learned the hard way that the ONLY metal to survive in this environment is true 316 stainless. Anything else starts to rust immediately (even 304/305 stainless). I have installed a lot of '316' hardware that lasts incredibly well. And this hinge started to rust immediately. AVOID.UPDATED: I added a photo of the hinge one year later -- confirming this hinge is NOT true 316 stainless. Other 316 stainless I installed on the same date (different vendor) has no rust marks, but this hinge has rust all over.
