The crimping tool is very good and warrants a 5* rating. The crimps produced are very tight and evenly closed. The quality of the crimp depends upon the accuracy with which the connector is positioned in the jaws - and putting it in the right way up! With 1.5mm2 wires considerable force will be required to complete the crimp and automatically release the ratchet - and ensure that the crimp is fully tightened. Some reports show that the tool produces very distorted and ineffective crimps which may be caused by putting the terminal upside-down into the jaws. Unfortunately the instructions are not clear on this point. The gripper "tangs" of the terminal must be placed pointing downwards into the lower jaw (the jaw with a "pip" in the bottom). Whilst the tool is very good, the supplied connectors are rubbish and should not be used - they rate a 0* rating, if it were possible. they are made of 0.25mm brass whereas the best connectors are 0.4mm. The blade on the male connector is also significantly thinner than with a quality part. Also, tinned connectors are to be preferred, especially when used in hot places such as ovens and heaters. The poor quality connectors is reflected in the ease with which the tool can be closed during crimping. It is best not to use those supplied - and for peace of mind throw them away! The buyer is advised to buy this excellent crimping tool on its own and buy good quality plated connectors separately.

This is a great set, at a great price. I needed to connect some wires for an electronics project and the usual block connectors were too big for my requirements. I looked around and decided to try these crimpers. First off they have a decent weight and feel sturdy, so Im hopefull they will last. The slots are clearly marked. The tool locks itself if you part squeeze the handle to just off the maximum and then release. Second the set comes with loads of connectors and better still insulating sleeves which were valuable for my project. The set comes with clear instructions in lots of languages and I simply followed them and the results in the photos speak for themselves. I tested the connection by pulling the wire very hard. It was going no where. The final job looks very neat, professional and more importantly safe.

Very good value for the price, the tool is ueay to use once you understand the orientation of the connectors, I personally found some very good YouTube instuctions on this type of product before commencing the job. The terminals supplied are not the best ( a little on the weak side) - hence 4 stars, other than that the crimper has produced excellent results making up a harness to connect aftermarket ignition coils to the wiring harness on my vintage motorcycle. Overall the product is far better than the price suggests and probably ideal for hobbyist usage.

I had never used a tool like this before. It took a bit of practice to figure out how to insert the connector into the jaws properly. There is a user manual included, but as a man, I don’t usually read those. The tool works great. It's durable and feels solid – you can tell it's made from quality materials.

I had tried using various crimpers to crimp the pins on Deutsch D6 connectors, and even had to resort to soldering and crimping with my other crimpers without much success. On pulling the wire through my vehicle I pulled one of the pins off. So onto Amazon and found these, next day delivery and I went about trying them out on the Deutsch pins, all I can say is WOW they are terrific lovely tight crimps ! They feel really good and strong in the hand and you can see just how sturdily they are built. They came in a nice box together with a great selection of terminals and sleeves. They are a must have in any budding vehicle electronics tool cabinet. No hesitation in recommending these, you will not be disappointed :-)

The kit is OK. The connectors aren't particularly easy to work with and don't look very robust, so best not to use on important jobs. But, for the money, it's OK

It worked perfectly first time. I like the feel of how it squeezes so you can tell how much you're closing the handles down. You can see clearly how it works whens in use. The assortment set is great. Very useful tool to keep around even if you're not an electrician. It got me out of a electrical problem with a corroded wire, allowing me to repair like for like. It out performed another clamp system i had as this method is better in my opinion. The grab strength and connection on the wire to ends is high giving peace of mind. I was expecting the covers to be heatshrink but they are not. Its no big deal as they fit snuggly and i have spare anyway. I like it comes in its own carry case with space for the consumable ends. Ill keep using this and recommend it.

Purchased with the sole intention of crimping connections on motorcycle wiring. Having purchased a couple of inferior cheaper ones, this tool made the job a breeze. The jaws hold the terminal securely whilst you insert your wire and provide a nice clean crimp. Has a few different settings available depending on the wire gauge you are working with. The ratchet mechanism also ensures you don't overdo it, resulting in a tidy, secure connection. Good build quality gives me the impression that this tool should last a very long time. The quality of the tool, the case and lots of connectors makes this a good deal in my opinion. Wish i'd have picked this up first rather than try to save a couple of quid.

Va muy bien y con la carraca que lleva para apretar puedes dejarlo justo para que no se te caiga la pieza y meter el cable tranquilamente y cuando esta en su posición el cable terminas de apretar la carraca y listo, engancha muy bien aunque las 2 3 primeras siempre son de prueba para probar la maquina y luego sale perfecto, la unica pega es que la funda no es retractil y no se queda fija pero es de muy buena calidad la funda todo hay que decirlo, lo volvería a comprar sin pensarlo!

Diese Crimpzange habe ich hauptsächlich für heimische Handwerkarbeiten erworben. Speziell die Verkabelung am Fahrrad erfordert einige verpreßte Kabel, damit die Beleuchtung einwandfrei funktioniert. Diese spezielle Zange SN-48B, in diesem Fall von Preciva, ist explizit für unisolierte Flachsteckverbindungen konstruiert. Gerade dies ist z.B. am Fahrrad sinnvoll, da dort am ehesten Kabel verwendet werden, denen zusätzlich unisolierte Flachsteckhülsen - meist 2,8mm Steckbreite - beiliegen. Die Verarbeitung ist gut und sieht optisch recht wertig aus. Vom Design her ähnelt diese Crimpzange den hochwertigen Produkten der deutschen Marke Knipex. Die Griffe sind recht fest verbaut und rutschen nahezu gar nicht. Der untere Griff ist absolut fest und der obere Griff hat etwas Spiel. Allerdings stört dies in keinster Weise. Die Crimp-Qualität bleibt einwandfrei. Die zweiteilige Bauweise dieser Griffe sorgt dafür, daß diese Zange angenehm in der Hand liegt und man als Anwender auch fest zudrücken kann, ohne Beschwerden an den Händen zu bekommen. Der bereits eingebaute Crimpeinsatz weist Öffnungen für Kabelquerschnitte i.H.v. 0,5mm², 1mm² sowie 1,5 mm² auf. Da zweiadrige Dynamokabel zumeist jeweils einen Durchmesser von 1mm aufweisen, ist folglich die mittlere Position dieses Crimpeinsatzes genau die richtige. Manch günstige Zangen beginnen erst ab 1,5mm², daher fiel meine Kaufentscheidung sehr schnell auf diese Preciva-Crimpzange. Die Qualität des Crimpvorgangs ist für mich als Anfänger dieser Technik gut. Das Kabel sitzt fest und lässt sich nicht aus der gecrimpten Flachsteckhülse herausziehen. Die Litze ist ohne Verdrehungen und ersichtliche Freiräume gepresst. Der Stromfluß vom Dynamo zum Scheinwerfer und zum Rücklicht funktioniert dauerhaft, also ohne Unterbrechungen. Geholfen hat mir die beiligende Anleitung, die auch via Bilder einiges hinsichtlich des Crimpvorganges anschaulich erläutert. Darüber hinaus helfen einem als Anhänger diverse Videos auf youtube. Zusätzlich liegt dieser Zange auch eine Box mit jeweils 100 unisolierten Flachsteckhülsen in der jeweiligen Steckbreite 2,8mm, 4,8mm und 6,3mm bei. Hierbei sind diese 100 einzelnen Hülsen getrennt in sogenannte männliche und weibliche Flachsteckhülsen. Passend hierzu liegen jeweils passende Isolierhülsen bei. Ich persönliche agiere lieber mit zurechtgeschnittenen Schrumpfschläuchen, die ich mit der Wärme eines Feuerzeugs fixiere. Die Flachsteckhülsen bestehen aus Messing. Informationen über eine Verzinnung liegen mir nicht vor. Die Qualität ist allerdings in Ordnung. Bisher läuft der Strom ja auch. Angesichts des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses und der wenigen Male, an denen ich Kabelverpressungen vornehme, eignet sich dieses Produkt definitiv. Längerfristige Erfahrungen zur Materialqualität der Crimpzange an sich existieren noch nicht. Bevor man allerdings ca. 130,- € für ein Markenprodukt ausgibt, wenn man ohnehin nur wenige Male im Jahr die Erfordernis des Crimpens hat, empfehle ich dieses recht günstige Set. Für den täglichen Gebrauch in der Werkstatt eignen und rechtfertigen sich dann auch ganz andere teurere Produkte. Für Hobby- und Heimwerkertätigkeit dient diese Crimpzange SN-48B von Preciva definitiv und reicht vollkommen aus.

Ho acquistato questo kit per sistemare alcuni cablaggi e devo dire che il rapporto qualità-prezzo è imbattibile. Per un uso domestico o hobbistico è assolutamente perfetto. La Pinza La crimpatrice è robusta e ha una buona impugnatura ergonomica. Il meccanismo a cricchetto funziona bene, permettendo di applicare la giusta pressione senza troppa fatica e garantendo che il connettore sia ben saldo al cavo. I Connettori Il set di faston e capicorda è ben assortito. Le plastiche isolanti sono di discreta qualità e non si rompono durante la pressione. La misura 0,5-1,5mm² copre la maggior parte delle esigenze per piccoli elettrodomestici o impianti auto/moto. Praticità La scatola organizzatrice è comoda per tenere tutto in ordine e non perdere i pezzi più piccoli. Assicuratevi di inserire bene il cavo prima di stringere fino in fondo. Una volta presa la mano, le connessioni risultano solide e professionali.

Good - well made product - does what it says on the box - very good price. It is worth noting that the crimping head die is stepped - one for the "wire strands" and one for the insulation - not seen this in a crimper of this price range - For my application the one crimper will crimp the two sizes of crimp that I use - so makes it really good value for me. With the box of crimps it comes with is VERY GOOD value. Have bought four for the service team.
