I used this primarily for glucose testing on my diabetic cat and it worked great. I've used another brand for years that is suddenly unavailable and the test results on this one were the same as the results on my old reliable one. My only complaint is that the ketone test is far away from the glucose test... most people would want to test for those at the same time and maybe not use the rest of the strip, so in order to test both you'd need to have a sample in a cup so you can dip both ends. I am used to just sticking the end in my cat's urine stream while she goes and it's pretty impractical to get this whole strip covered just doing that. Otherwise I felt the test results were pretty accurate. The only other one I can really confirm is that the blood one was accurate and did light up even to show trace amounts when you couldn't see it in the urine by just looking. I know because she had a tumor in her bladder and there were always trace amounts of blood even when it looked clear and this test showed it every time. Ugh, I miss her. I know I took the best possible care of her though and these strips helped with that.

These are wonderful I take them with us to the vet and they accept the 2 a day test I use for my dog with auto immune disease she has health issues and these are quick easy to read I log hers on in a notebook, helps with blood cell count, ph level and kidney function. From her test I can am learning how adjusting my dogs food and fluid can drastically change her results helps me when she is on antibiotics I can tell by the test how her body responds. So it helps me help her. She’s a big girl 100 pounds but got a routin I use a sterilized in hot water 1/2 cup measuring cup walk behind her in a leash and as she goes p I just quickly catch of course yes it’s that simple. Then let her finsh and quickly take it inside to her little station on her little shelf that’s set up for her, near the wash room. Dip it in a glass canning jar this is so easy and you can boil anything you use or just toss and go for disposable cups but this works little handle on measuring cup and I can place the stick in and then into the glass jar where I can view it and write her results. Said all that to help any other fur parents. But these do work and they match the vet that I use and my dog is not stressed it’s just a routine ! Bless all the fur babies !!

This is a great tool to use with or without the blood glucose meter.

Ok, this is so handy to have!! Compared this to the one at the vet and the results were the same. I am so happy to have the bottle in the house to use on our humans as well

Let’s put aside the difficulties involved with getting a “clear catch, mid-stream” urine sample from a dog or a cat. Instead, let’s consider the possibility of using these strips for other purposes. There may be uses of these strips that don’t involve dog or cat urine testing. To investigate, I will use what is commonly called “Kitchen Chemistry”. First, these strips have a test for glucose. Many similar strips do not have a glucose test. Tap Water…. Negative. Normal Human Urine….Negative (as expected based on known normal blood glucose.) Crushed Tomatoes…..Positive as expected based on known glucose content of crushed tomatoes. CONCLUSION: Glucose Parameters work. pH: Tap water: 7.0 as expected. Vinegar solution: Expected pH below 7.0 Baking Soda solution: Expected pH Above 7.0 CONCLUSION: pH works Protein: Acid Whey from making cheese Positive for low levels of protein. Tests beyond the ability of “Kitchen Chemistry” to detect: These include Leokocytes, Nitrite, Urobilinogen, Blood, Ketone, and Bilirubin. For these, it seems reasonable to conclude that because all those that are testable appear to be accurate and sensitive, those that are not directly testable are also accurate and sensitive. Furthermore, those that are not testable do not provide any false positives. In summary, these test strips appear to be sensitive and accurate for several specific tests and are likely sensitive and accurate for the additional tests that they provide. I would highly recommend this product if only for the ability to detect the presence of glucose in the test liquid which so many other test strips do not provide.

I bought this option as it was low cost and ignored the reviews saying the test strips were inaccurate and I regret it. My cat has had urinalysis done about 2 or three times since purchasing as he was gravely ill and needed monitoring. (He’s better now) These strips contradict the vet results. I bought human test strips which while more expensive offer more accurate results for ease of mind. Nearly every test similar to this uses the same system of color grading parameters so if you struggle with that then… find some other item.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM! I would give it a 0 if I could. I bought this to test the urine on my dog since she had UTI's in the past and I thought maybe she may have one again. I used probably 10 test strips on her over a period of 2 months and EVERY SINGLE TIME it showed that she had a very high PH level and there was another level that showed moderately high, but a high PH is one of the signs of a UTI. I increased her water intake to see if that would help, but these strips still showed a HIGH Ph level as well as another. So I made an appointment with my vet to have her test her urine. Not only was her Ph level NOT high or the other less-important level, but her Ph was on the LOW side!!!!! As in a "normal range" but on the low-normal range, but definitely NOT HIGH. If the strips would have shown high only once, or every twice, then I wouldn't be so disappointed. But as many as I used and 100% of the time they tested high, I wasted $120 on a vet bill that was absolutely NOT NECESSARY! My vet said: there is NOTHING WRONG WITH HER URINE and NOTHING was high! These strips are wayyyyyyyy INACCURATE!

Used for my cat who has chronic kidney disease. I wasn’t sure if she had another UTI so I bought this instead of the complete urinalysis which is over $100. Was able to get her on antibiotics following confirmation of this.

Accurate and simple to use. We were able to monitor our senior dogs' health, including taking her in to be tested (verified) and treated. When we suspected a UTI, it was good for peace of mind we were able to get her in for treatment faster. Good value.

It is really nice and handy , I use it for both my dog and cat then I would not be worried about them.

Was used before consulting a vet. It gave clear indications of the health issues that were confirmed in a following thorough diagnosis involving some blood tests. It is a great tool that can help you wage if an emergency is to be called.

Great product, it will be great if it comes with a sample jar that can be disinfected for further used.

All good. My only complaint is that when the strips start losing quality in contact with air, why not have every like 5 strips in one vacuum pack?!
