This is something to bring to the "girls night", or to let children play with, to learn a new technique with without wasting your costly makeup or for young people to demo on Instagram.These aren't meant to be your daily makeups, I don't think, but are really more to give you a little variety and something that might be new for you to *explore*. For the cost of maybe two or three full sized makeup products, you get to test twelve different things. It's almost like "commitment-free" makeup!So most people don't buy something like this more than once (no re-order) because they discover that they only really used a couple of things in it, at best. But that gives them a starting point for buying those particular items without buying full sized products that sometimes end up going unused because you plain didn't like it or couldn't figure out how to use it properly, and you didn't get a chance to try it before you bought it so now you're stuck with it...That won't happen here, unless you just don't like anything in the set...And you might not.I can't think of makeup that I've gotten recently that had instructions on it or that came with it, lol.Would instructions have been a nice touch? Sure! But since I'm not conditioned to expect there to BE instructions with makeup, this doesn't really influence my view on the PRODUCT itself.The case is about the same as any case form makeup I've played with in the past with the products all sort of squished together, so my fat powder and blush brushes are way too floofy to use on these easily. The brush is of adequate quality for the set (not terrible, not great), but you probably will want more brushes, for the correctors if nothing else. The top could be sturdier, but I have had cases with thinner tops, so it is about in the middle for case durability, IMO. But as this isn't really meant to travel, I'm not really sure how much that counts for.I do wish there was more room between the "pots" - it is very tight in there.I've discovered that I don't like bronzer (top right 2), so I need never buy that; I'm too pale and it just makes me look like I forgot to wash my face. The light colored "creams" are old-school thick waxy cream concealers, and I've had some good luck with those - these work almost as well as the old Maybelline Shine Free stick I have and two of them are a good match for my skin-tone - I just use my pinky-tip to dot it on and the brush that came with to blend it out. I've only played a little with the color correctors (group of 4 small odd colored products to bottom left) and I can see how they might help with evening out tone, fool the eye as it were - but I will need better tools and more practice before I would be comfortable going into public wearing it (not the fault of the correctors, just throwing that out there). The powder (top far left) doesn't do much for me, and I find it a bit chalky both in texture and in color (this coming from a fairly pale person). I DO like the blush and it is a good color for me, though it is fairly light in color and opacity - which I like.So basically this is a middling set of makeup. You can find better sets out there and you can find worse. I've found at least 3 things in it that I will use until there is no more. Originally when I looked at the photo, I thought that the bright colors were for lips and eyes too. No, they are concealers. There is no guide book to tell you how to use these bright colors, what they hide, etc. I've used color correction stuff before and it was light green but what do you use bright red and purple for? Be careful when you open it, it has tape on both sides and the plastic isn't that strong so you don't want to break it. Also invest in some nice brushes, the ones that come with the set are a double brush and are really flimsy. I tried a few of the bronzers on, not a lot of color comes out, same with the creams. I did try to see what the purple would do, but really it only looked like purple on my skin. So, a guide would definitely help. Right now, I"m just going to keep it for my little niece to play with. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Complete set for highlighting, blush, bronzing, and concealing. *by S***G on Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2019* I am new to using highlight and bronzing products. This is a nice package that contains a selection of highlighting, bronzing, blush, and concealing powders and creams. The concealers are creamy and there are 8 different colors to choose from depending on what you are trying to correct. I don't really know what the purple, green, and red colored concealers would be used for. It would be nice if the package had some instructions to guide you when to select between those colors. The use of the skin toned colors are fairly self-evident to me. I used these to attempt to conceal a variety of different areas on my skin and found they seemed to work pretty well. The highlighters, blush, and bronzer offered a decent amount of pigment on my very fair skin without being too much. It was easy to create very subtle shading with this set.
