Shockingly good
I ordered the BioWaveGo mainly to help with shoulder pain I’ve been having and I’m surprised at how well it works. I had shoulder surgery two years ago because I got hit by a snowboarder while I was out skiing with my husband. I ended up having a tear and frozen shoulder at the same time. Now sure how that happened because even the surgeon was surprised as it’s uncommon for the injury I had. My shoulder has never been the same after surgery even with PT and going back to normal life and doing everything like I used to. There’s always an ache and tightness in one spot even with stretching and heat. I couldn’t even sleep comfortably on the affected shoulder. I decided to give this a try because why not. It’s expensive but from what I read, it’s targets deeper than a tens unit which I’ve had in the past and was not really happy with it. I got the unit and it immediately started beeping at me and was showing orange bars which meant there was a disconnect somewhere despite everything being plugged in. Of course it would be my luck that I have this expensive device and it’s a LEMON. I was able to get it to work by jiggling the cable until all of a sudden it stopped working at all. I used the device three times before it crapped out on me but in just those three treatments on three different days, my shoulder didn’t hurt as much. Maybe it was in my head but I needed to get this thing to work. I contacted the support line and got a response from a representative. She gave me a call and immediately sent me a replacement cable. I got the cable in a few days and it works again. I am so happy!! I used my FSA account so if you are able to budget or if you have left over and were thinking of using this, 10/10 recommend. The battery life is pretty good on this thing- lasts a long time. I’m still at full charge and have used it about 14 times so far and each treatment is 30 mins. It’s definitely not like a regular TENS unit. The sensation does indeed feel to go deeper and it’s very uncanny that I can’t exactly explain how it feels but my arm feels so much better. It doesn’t feel stiff like it was before I started using this device. I do like that you can pair this with your phone so you can select where you’re putting the leads and see the intensity and how much time you have left. You don’t even have to use your phone. It’s small and easy to carry around. In my pictures, the device you can see the bars I have left- each bar is 6 mins but I’ve also included screenshots from my phone.

Works Great and Easy to Use
This neurostim device works great. The set up was straight forward and simple. I like that multiple leads come with the device and they feel very sticky and long lasting. I had the opportunity to try this device from a chiropractic office a few years ago and was very happy with the quality and it helped my back so much! I was happy to see that BIOWAVEGO has a portable device. I am excited to use this for many of my aches and pains, especially after hard workouts at the gym. I would recommend this product to my friends and family!

So far, excellent results on my lower back and shoulders
So far, excellent results on my lower back and shoulders I received it a few days ago, watched service YouTube videos on it and used it on my lower back and shoulder joint. Full relief of paid and it's been more that 30 hours since I've used it. Excellent battery life, probably 7 or so uses or so out of it before it needs to be recharged, which it does quickly. My guess is that I'll get 6 or so uses from a set of pads. Very easy to use. Great and total pain relief SO FAR. I'll update this review as I get more use out of it. By the way, my Orthopedic Surgeon was about to give my strong narcotic pain meds, and I suggested that I try this first. I'm happy that I did. Amazing device! The company is in Norwalk CT and I'm in the same CT county. I was happy about that. 7 April 2020 update The relief in my lower back, shoulders and upper leg lasted 2 days or slightly more. In my experience, relief was immediate. I am aware that this doesn't "cure" the underlying problem. My Doctor asked if I would take Opioids and neurotin if he prescribed them. I said I rather try this 1st. Glad I did. 22 April 2020 update: This has also relieved pain from Lyme disease.

Expensive machine that helps little
This expensive machine provides little relief but less than I expected in the timeframe I used it. I have been using it for a week now and expected it to give better results. I will try it out for more time and see if it helps. The device is costly. $399 when I purchased it. For that price, I had expected the pads would last a few months at least, but they mentioned in the booklet that each pad usually can be reused 8-10 times which I found surprising. The replacement pads are also expensive. So, overall the device becomes much more costly to run and use. Speaking of the machine itself, it had instructions on how to use it in the booklet and box and they were easy to understand and very straight-forward. The website for instructions takes you to the app, so it was pretty pointless, so following the booklet is best for that. They have an app as well. However, I could not connect the machine to the app even once after trying multiple times. It is a lost cause. Another thing is that the lights on the machine itself could have been of different colors, battery strength and charging are both green. Treatment time remaining and pause treatment are both white and so on. That is not good. Lastly, the packaging box is good, but the device is small, so the packaging is excessive. Compact and reduced packaging would be nice.

Way better than a standard TENS Unit!
I am a nurse practitioner, and the maker of the BioWave Home device came into my office and let me try one for my husband, which has chronic pain of his cervical and lumbar spines, R knee and foot. He tried it for a week and LOVED it, but the pricetag was too rich for us, and it is not covered by private insurance. So, he told me about this BioWave GO, and we purchased it on Amazon. It works just as well, but only reaches about 75% of the pain reduction as the Home device. That was enough for hubby, and I purchased this for Father's Day for him. The only drawback is that there are only two pads included, and they are special for the device. They are the standard pad material, and it would be better if it was the same attachments that other TENS units use to be more cost effective. We did buy a reorder pack of pads, but that only included 6 pads for $30 which is very pricey. So, I anticipate some day when an innovative engineer makes a fitting that allows the use of standard TENS pads for this. Otherwise, though, the technology is amazing, and it outshines the standard TENS. For those people that cannot tell the difference, they should stick with a $30 TENS unit. Once your pain is greater than a TENS can help, this is the next best step!

Stronger than others
My Pros: it’s very strong. You get access to a video which is super helpful. It has a clip so you can clip it in your clothes and walk around. It does help with muscle tightness (follow the video instructions) it connects to an app via Bluetooth My Cons: there isn’t a digital display just some lights to let you know the strength and power settings. The pads are only good for a few uses and are very expensive to replace. The unit is made of a lightweight cheaper feeling plastic so it doesn’t feel like the quality you expect for the price. Overall-this is stronger than any TENS unit I’ve ever used. I’d like to have the display on the unit instead of an app but great for sore tight muscles.

Works, but sorry the price has increased!
I have used the BiowaveGo device for a couple of years because I have chronic back pain. I use it so much, that I need to replace it occasionally. It was not too bad, price-wise and I recommended it to many people. For $300 for the unit, and $30 for each replacement pack of 3 sets of pads, I could afford to replace it when it quit working. But now the prices have suddenly increased to $400 and $40 for these items. I can still afford it, but it seems like a lot of difference. If it means that the company survives, then that's great. Also, it seems I have had more problems in that it beeps (meaning there is not a good connection) much easier than before, as I have to fiddle with where the lead wire connects to the unit, even taping it down. This company has had excellent customer service, and I haven't contacted them lately, so there may be a good reason for the changes. This product does work for me. I leave the pads on most of the time, and move them to where my back hurts the most. You have to work up to at least 3 bars, so don't expect instant pain relief, although for less serious or acute pain, that may work more quickly. Anyway, I find that after I work up to 3 bars, (it turns off at 30 minutes), then wait about a half hour, and repeat, going up as many bars as is comfortable, after about 3 times, the edge has really come off my pain, which is meaningful to me! Then, I move the pads to the next location where I have pain. Before BiowaveGo, I visited my pain doctor regularly to get cortisone shots in my spine, which didn't really help that much, and decided I didn't want to have it injected into me anymore. I wasn't a candidate for an implanted device, because there wasn't enough room, so he suggested that I try this. I have adult onset scoliosis, and have lost about 4" in height. So, this product has kept me going, thank so much!

Faulty Pads produce uncomfortable experience
I had high hopes for this product as I am suffering from intense pain in both shoulders. After receiving and un boxing the unit, I carefully opened the small plastic envelope that held the sticky pads & electronic leads. As soon as I picked one up, one of the leads came out of the plastic clip and I couldn't get it to stay back in. So I opened the next package, attached the pads to my left shoulder, as directed by a specific shoulder video on the company site and started my first treatment. One pad was placed on the back of my shoulder, the other on the front just below the joint. Almost immediately, the one on the front started pinching and what felt like two or three fingers grabbing and pulling the skin outward. I tried to get the intensity level up to 40%, as recommended, but that intensified the discomfort. I finished the 30 minute treatment, but the pinching/pulling sensation happened on & off during every minute for the entire treatment. I thought I'd try again the next day on the other shoulder but this time I placed one pad behind the shoulder and the other just below the joint on the upper arm. The pads were at least three inches apart, as directed. The pad on the upper arm produced an involuntary twitching of the muscles that was very uncomfortable and I kept lowering the intensity level but it kept happening. I called the company the next day and it was explained to me that what I experienced was probably due to faulty pads that were produced by a previous company and that new pads, from a different manufacturer would be sent out. When I received the new pads, I placed them as I had on the back of shoulder and upper arm below the joint. Exact same result with muscle twitching. I sent the unit back through Amazon and received a full refund. I don't doubt that some people have had good success with this unit but for some reason my luck wasn't so good. I considered the Quell unit but the pads have to replaced so often that it seemed like it would be an endless expense. So, in the end, the customer service was very good but I didn't want to keep going back & forth trying to resolve the issue.
