Description Biomox is a semi-synthetic, broad-spectrum amoxicillin prescribed to dogs for the treatment of bacterial dermatitis and soft-tissue infections including abscesses, wounds and cuts caused by susceptible strains of bacteria. Uses Biomox (amoxicillin) tablets are used in the treatment of infections in pets when caused by susceptible strains of organisms indicated by your vet. Possible Side Effects Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic penicillin and has the potential for producing allergic reactions. Epinephrine and/or steroids should be administered if an allergic reaction occurs. Drug & Food Interactions Use of amoxicillin is contradicated in animals with a history of an allergic reaction to penicillin. Precautions Let your veterinarian know if your pet has ever had an allergic reaction to penicillin or to a cephalosporin. Tell your vet if your pet has kidney, stomach or intestinal disease.
