A Q-Tip is about 0.344" in diameter. So no, you cannot insert a Q-Tip. Why would you want to? Why not simply squeeze a drop onto a Q-Tip? **Q: If this leaks out of my ears at night, will it stain my pillowcase?** A: No, but I would put a soft rag or piece of cloth over my pillowcase just in case. Also, when you put the medication in your ear after a short while wipe off any excess with a napkin. There is hardly any drip off alter applying. Hope this helps. **Q: Is this the same as the .5 oz. ProEar for dry, irritated, itching ears?** A: Yes it comes in 2 oz and .5 oz. I find it has a shelf life, so my first 2 oz bottle got a funny smell after a year or so.
