This is great. You will need to sweat in your own connections to the valve body. Easy to remove the cartridge. Solid metal handle, but the spout is cheap plastic. Upside of the spout is that it's a slip fitting with a set screw and the o-ring seal is only half inch from the wall meaning it's great for remodel if you need to cut back the stub out for the previous spout. The plate is has one of best seals I've seen, no need to caulk it after install. The escutcheon for the shower head neck is not tight fitting, some small kinks on the inner side will make it stay put. Great for all around, definitely not for someone who can't sweat pipe.

We remodeled a bathroom and went for this "cheap" kit. I was surprised how great it is. The trim kit is only plastic but that's fine. The valve behind it is brass. Also the shower head is great, providing a good stream of water, much better than expected. Can only recommend this product.

The one star is to get your attention. In general, there is no doubt that Moen makes quality products. I run a motel with 40 year old single cartridge Moen faucets. Even though we have very hard water, the cartridges are just now being replaced. But I bought this for a new install... willing to pay the extra price for moen quality. I distinctly remember a slip of paper in the box that said that the cartridge did NOT need to be removed for soldering. This seemed odd to me, but I went with it. But after installed, the handle was very hard to turn. I took the cartridge out and did not see any "damage", so thought that it was just the nature of the beast. But after sitting for a week, the handle would turn at all, and when it did, it broke the adapter. Went to the Moen website and the video says specifically to remove the cartridge before soldering. Well, now I'm waiting for a cartridge rebuild kit and a new handle adapter. Hopefully it will solve my problem and I won't have to replace it. By the way, you go to the installation instructions printed and it gives NO advice one way or another about taking the cartridge out before soldering.

Bought this to replace an old leakey three valve unit. Also purchased the American made cover plate to cover the two extra holes in my tub wall. This unit is slick! It does not adjust the amount of water flow but the shower head pretty much takes care of that. Simple counter clock wise turn to the 10 o'clock position, pull the shower head diverter and you're ready to go. Turning back clockwise to the 6 o'clock position quickly turns the water off. All metal construction with no plastic! Made in America!

In only one place in the ad does it say that a valve is included and there is no information on it. Totally my fault but I purchased the 3 items in the "Frequently bought together" section. I now have 2 valves. I actually like the one I purchased separately better than the included one. Also, in my case, what I was sent was already opened and the protective wrapping on the parts and hardware was laying in bottom of the box. I have not determined yet if everything is there. I was surprised how the handle and downspout is plastic...boy am I getting old...

Everything that came in the box was as described. Installation was straight-forward (if you have some know-how). Note that the shower head and shower handle are metal, but all other parts are plastic. This isn't really a big deal, but we would have preferred the tub diverter spout to be metal. Also note that the tub diverter spout uses a pressure-based fitting, which makes installation easy, but is more prone to leakage over time if you're installing this set somewhere that goes through major temperature changes, which could cause metal to expand/contract significantly (i.e. a cottage that is empty in the winter and very cold). We did install this set at our cottage, so we swapped out the plastic tub diverter spout for an older metal spout with a screw-on style fitting... however this is harder to install properly, so unless you need to do this, probably it's unnecessary.

Good tap have had for several years now and still working great
