3M Safety-Walk Slip Resistant Tape Heavy Duty, Black, 4-Inch by 6-Foot Roll, 7733

Promised to review a second year attempt in applying a lasting outdoor step tread to my wooden deck stairway steps. Knowing 3M products well, I bought this 4" tread roll version, and cut my own tread lengths (24"). No surprise in durability, but rather than trusting the material's own adhesive alone, I relied on the 3M advise for the product, and additionally used the 3M Safety Walk Edge Sealing compound 902 after applying the strips. I admit it is a pain to squeeze out a uniform line of sealant for the 56" of a 4 sided piece, but this spring I have not noticed any curling edges of tread because of moisture or rain getting under edges. I am expecting years of usage.

We use this stuff on our motorcycle lifts in the middle 1/3 of the lift surface. Does a great job of preventing the front tire from sliding out to the side if the lift is wet with anything. Before we started using this tape, we almost lost a bike bringing it up on the lift when the front tire was wet with rain water. Close call.

Durable slip resistant tape; however, be sure to use an extra adhesive as the tape will not remain secure for near as long if used without it.

Yes, it cost more than the other less expensive brands. So last year I used the less expensive brand and it just peeled away with weather. So far the 3-M product is holding out great. To protect from a fall it is worth the extra cost for the durability.

This worked perfectly on my cargo trailer ramp! Great product!

U put this down in the lower end of the speciifcations for temperture due to a need. After a few weeks some of the tape started to lift right off (I stapled it down). Suggest installation at the warm end of the band/

We switched to this product after using gator grip for years. After much R&D comparing the 2 products, 3M took the gold in every way. We used several different prep techniques and the 3M stuck no matter what, while the Gator grip would lift around the edges. It is 3x the money, but is also 3x the product.
