Turns out the problem wasn’t my brake switch and my old key switch was to blame. Old one took some time to get out of the dash but new one installed in seconds. I love the key with built in water and dust shield. Works perfectly definitely recommend someone purchasing this item.

Nice replacement for OEM switch that is designed with a feature my original switch didn't which is a built in dust cover for the ignition switch when the key is installed in the ignition. This is helpful especially when caught out in the rain, or in dusty, environments.
