TYC 620560 Cooling Fan Assembly Compatible with 1997-2001 Jeep Cherokee

I installed this cooling fan on my 98 Cherokee on May 10th, then I took the video on May 26th, to give it some time to see if it messes up, but it didn't. It's well-built and as good as the OEM part, but cost $30 less than the auto parts stores wanted for it. Installation was mostly easy. Just gotta take your time and make sure you line the bottom and top up so it's not cockeyed or you don't break it by trying to force it in, in such a confined space.

I have a 99 XJ and had to change out the serpentine belt last week and during that work I broke the last remaining spring-tab at the bottom on the original electric fan (I had broken the other one a few years earlier .. :( ) I looked around and just the plastic shroud was like $20 and since I was still using the original fan & motor I decided to spend a little more and get the whole thing. This was priced right, looked compatible and here we are! Install took less than 5 minutes and was a perfect fit, took it for a drive and it functioned fine. Recommended if you need the fan, motor or shroud replaced.

This is a review of the "TYC 620560 97-01 Jp Chrke I6 Rad & Cond (S) Cfa" electric cooling fan. I replaced a damaged fan in my '99 Cherokee and this is nearly an exact duplicate. The only difference I could find is the new fan has nine blades whereas the original had ten. I will update this review if the reduced number of blades becomes an issue. Seems maybe slightly quieter than the original fan, but the majority of the noise from under the hood is engine, not fans, and certainly isn't a problem when driving. I had none of the fitment issues others have reported; it installed quickly and easily in an otherwise stock engine bay. The electric connector is exactly the same as OEM. Time will tell if it lasts as long as the original (22 years). One star off for overseas manufacture. I've included photos of the old fan and this one to show the similarities.

Just installed. This is drivers side AC fan. Fits perfect. Install the left lower tab first so you can hit the slot above the steering box. Maybe remove the radiator overflow hose. My Cherokee had a 5" electrical extension to plug in to the OEM fan. I unplugged and removed that. The remaining stock, inline plug fit the new fan pigtail plug. Runs smooth. Also looks like the OEM fan motor would bolt in and clear its blade. Only my shroud was broken, but I installed the complete new assembly since I didn't see a shroud sold separately on Amazon. My radiator is Oreilly and it's worked well this spring. These XJs need all the help they can get in the summer. My sporadic overheat was due to a bad head gasket with no other symptoms. It was revealed with a radiator exhaust gas liquid detector.

This fan is pretty kick ass I’m building an xj rn and I have one on the factory harness and one I cut and spiced into a gang box so it’s auxiliary now and it keeps the jeep with a 180° thermostat right at 180 no matter what wether your feedin it dinger in the woods or your doing a 4wd burnout chained up to your buddy’s excavator she’s gonna stay cool well worth every penny

I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L - 4 door. Fan is an exact true fit .......2 - 10m bolts are on my Jeep and one plug which also is perfect fit into the fan plug. I would do business with this company again in a heartbeat. Delivery was very fast, packaging was the best, all nice and secure so the fan would not bounce around in the box. This fan is very high quality, nice and quite and draws the heat from the radiator very well keeping my temp gage in the proper range.... about 195-200 degrees. I live in CT hate the heat so my AC is on all of the time. This is going to be one hard working piece of equipment on one hard working Jeep. Thank you Amazon for finding these company's for us. For me looking for this on Amazon was a shot in the dark, never thought they would have parts for my Jeep.....I was wrong....and got the best fan of all! PS. チェロキーxjの前期に後期用のこちらの商品を取り付けました。(こっちの方が性能がいい) 下の爪の部分はそのまま合いましたが上のビスのところに少しだけ加工が必要でした。 あとはカプラーの形が違うので今ある配線を切って繋げました。 断然こっちの方が高性能です

Excellent product for the money. The electric fan that i replaced in my Cherokee had a very annoying high pitched squeal, every time I used the AC. Fitment of this product was basically OEM and the build quality was also on par.
