My daughter, Ruby absolutely loves these books. We've moved from Charlie and Lola to Clarice Bean to these - all brilliant. Lauren Child is a genius.

Bought these books for a 13 year old and she enjoys reading them. She has read them more than once and is not bored of them.

My 10 year old LOVES this series, and I love reading it with her. Lauren Child's writing is witty and smart. I can totally see this series as a movie or Netflix-style show someday. So glad we stumbled on this. For those with younger kids we started reading her Clarice Bean series first- which was also a great read for my daughter, though the books are much shorter. In that series, the main character's favorite show is Ruby Redfort and they went into such great detail I started wondering if it was a real show. When I googled I found the author had written this whole series! It was an awesome surprise. Highly recommend both series!
