This and all of the other MRE meals are {too Hard] to get open trying to get the plastic cover off makes a big greasy mess.. and if any one has limited use of their hands I DO NOT recommend

I have been eating this particular dish all of my life both made from scratch at home and in restaurants. This was pure mush, tasteless and almost no chicken. The only resemblance to the way it should have been was the picture on the box.

It was ok, the chicken seemed way overcooked and under seasoned for my taste, but then I’m in South Louisiana.

While this meal doesn't quite look like the picture on the box, it was surprisingly good for a ready-to-eat meal. Was it super delicious? No, but it was definitely better than some other ready-to-eat meals I've had and definitely great for camping/hiking food.Now this meal seems a bit pricey (around $10 ea), but a lot of MRE, emergency type, & camping/survival food can be costly.This meal has different options for heating. I was home, so I chose to microwave it for 3 minutes. I was careful to open the back corner, when it was done heating, to let the steam escape for a minute before peeling the whole cover off.My teen daughter and I tried this meal of: "Bone-in-Chicken, served w/Carrot Tzimmes, Potato Kugel & Farfal."The chicken was actually quite tasty and it fell off the bone quite easily. In fact, some of the smaller bones wanted to crumble, so I had to be careful and remove all the bones first.The rest of the food was pretty good. It actually smelled quite yummy and the flavors went well together. The only thing we really didn't care for was the Farfal. It was just too mushy and probably would've been better if left out of this dish.The whole meal was definitely more soft than when I make food, but that's going to be the case because it's essentially canned food.Overall this meal had a decent taste, smelled good, and would definitely fill you up for awhile.These are great for camping and such, but honestly for the price, I would just get frozen TV dinners if I was just going to eat these at home because of the price.

The bone in chicken meal is great. I am 90 and cooking is sometimes a pain. This is really tasty, filling and so easy..

Chicken was very good, tender and tasty, balance of meal was mushy or gummy type carbs

I have reordered these dinners for several months. High quality, filling and good for my digestive system. Would recommend.

Bone in chicken with farfel and kugel tastes just like it was made fresh today. Heats easily in microwave. Filling portion. I would buy again.
