does the non-aersol come with a spray attachment?

The can of Ballistol I bought several years ago did not come with a spay attachment. I never found a need for a sprayer, since I always apply it to a rag to clean and lubricate guns. It's the best product on the market for guns, since that's what it was developed for.

For those of you that have used Ballistol do you like the aerosol or the liquid better and wich seems to be the better buy?

The liquid is easily the best bargain. I personally keep 1.5oz aerosols throughout my vehicles and house, etc. and a 16oz liquid for gun work.

How long does the smell last once the gun has been cleaned? My concern is the weapon giving off an odor while carrying it.

Well I haven't noticed the overbearing smell of the Ballistol while carrying. When I clean, I soak the slide and scrub until I am satisfied that is clean. Then I clean all the Ballistol off until it is dry. After that I sparingly reapply for lube. Haha so back to you question...right after cleaning, maybe. However, if cleaned well and lubed only to the point of necessity, I don't think it should be something you or anyone else would notice the smell of.

Luthier here: will this erode or dissolve wood or hyde glue?

I have had no problems with this dissolving any glue joints on the wood that I have used it on. Test an area to see would be my recommendation.
