Is the indigo and henna mixed already?

No, on the ingredients listed it just states indigo. You need to make the henna 1st because it needs to sit over night. The next day when your ready to color your hair mix the indigo packet with a tablespoon of salt in the water. Once it's ready - it can be mixed with the already prepared henna. You can also use them separately - henna 1st (4 hours) & rinse with mild conditioner & then within (24 hours apply the indigo mix for 2-3 hours) & rinse with mild conditioner. Use shampoo 24 hours later.

No, indigo is a dark green, indigo alone will not make your hair black or blue black, you have to use henna or cassia (clear henna) first and then apply indigo . A good website about this topic is Long Hair Care Forum and search henna and indigo. There is an extensive blog about this. Henna and indigo are a lot of work but non toxic to the body
