JEM Multi Petal Daisy Gerbera Fondant Cutters for Cake Decorating, Small Size, Set of 3

This set might be useful to imprint a detailed daisy motif on a sugar cookie, for children to use with clay, or for any other use in which detail is desired but cutting is not essential. I do admire the detail on the petals of the daisies, HOWEVER, this is in no way a cutter. There are no sharp edges or even a raised surface to imprint deeply enough to separate the design from the material.In my case, I was trying to cut a fondant/gum paste mix. There was no way to do it. I had to go all around the perimeter with an exacto knife and then struggle to remove the material from "cutter." Needless to say, it was not a neat process and I still had to practically re-shape the flower with the exacto knife to repair it. Frankly, it's not worth the effort it took to end up with a mediocre-looking daisy.It's a shame because the relief markings are very pretty and realistic and it's hard to find a daisy cutter with so many petals. But, let's face it: a cutter must cut.
