My favorite spellbook I currently own and I'm that weirdo who collects them yet never does a single spell. The only slight nitpick is that she asks for tarot cards and once used, the card is harmed beyond repair. Some see Tarot as just cards or a game, but I take divination far more serious so I could never ruin any of my cards, even if its a spare deck I had laying around. But that's more personal to me.

This was recommended to me as I started learning this subject. The first half of the book provides etiquette of how to go about spell casting. Not only this but explaining how spellcasting doesn't have to be a big grand show but is also able to be simple. The second half of the book has some basic spells but honestly, I found a majority of them or similar ones online. If you're wanting this book solely for different spells, I would look elsewhere but the first half of the book is incredibly useful!

I have been a practising witch my entire life (57 years) and I can honestly say I enjoyed this book. After all the years I have been living a magical life not much is new to me about practising the craft. With that said I read half the book in one day, that is high praise.

One of the greatest books on modern witchcraft that you could purchase the spells are easy to understand easy to read and it explains everything you need to know from A to Z I definitely would recommend this book for anybody that is interested in witchcraft and spells anybody from beginner to intermediate to pro I definitely would recommend this book 5 out of 5

I am very novice to the world of occult, so this was a nice introduction to spell crafting. This will certainly help you on your journey, as it helped me tremendously. Simple to understand and read. No fluff. Beautiful cover, full of spells to practice and strengthen your abilities.Thank you for the read.

I wanted to like this book so bad but I’m going to return it. The first half of the book is explaining what a spellcaster is and why do you want to use spells sections. It does have a break down of the tools and meaning but that takes up most of the book to the point you can’t really call it a spell book. Then from the picture the spells are mostly arts and crafts. I want to incorporate herbs mostly and most of them seem like recipes for bread and pies and some are just spells with only crystal or pouring wine. The last straw was is requiring certain cards from the deck to be used I use my tarot card all the time for divination but not to destroy them. I just didn’t like the way the spell ate it kinda like stuff you would see in a movie where you wave a wand and chant to create magic.

Skye Alexander is a wonderful easy to read and understand author, If you are looking for a guide to start with if you are just starting out as a witch or just learning about the craft I highly recommend her books.That being said, the shape of the book is in leaves me a bit sad as I have wanted this and the rest of her books for a long time. I bought it used and was disappointed, which is not normal for my buys off here. Some wear is always expected when you buy used and we all know that but the cover is dirty, the sides worn there are stickers on it. The markings on the pages are readable but distracting. So as for used I am not happy about it and will have to buy a new one. So this is not a bad thing about the contents of the book, this is about the shape of book I received. :(

What an incredible book. I've been practising for many years and Skye has done a fantastic job of laying out the first stepping stone for any new practitioner of magick. Even after all my years of practise I learned some new things, so as the saying goes, you're never too old to learn something new. Thank you Skye.

Only just got this book.. But a quick flick through, looks fab for a beginner like me.. Good quality hardback book.. Looks good in my book case... Loving the cover of this book and the rough cut pages.. Gives it an older feel.. Looking forward to sitting down and reading this.. Amazon delivered this book in a nice cardboard snug packaging..and book arrived in fab condition.. By over all impressing for my first spell book is I am blessed to own this.. Draws you in to her books without the preachy way some other do.. I Enjoy her books..

I really found this book interesting, it has great spell sections and i am looking forward to using some spells, it goes over a lot of things you need to know about witchcraft and not just the basics either, very easy to read very interesting and full of important information.

Overall, I think this is a lovely book, its educational and I loved reading the intro, but it made me slightly hesitant due to the heavy focus on moon phases. As a beginner, I'm finding my feet and am focusing on intent more, I wish I knew this before.Some of the spells seem a bit faffy and list a fair amount of ingredients but overall a good buy to build up my library.
