First flipping through the pages, I was a little intimidated. Yet, as I began to read, everything gracefully unfolded. Not only is it an exploration of the relationship between spirit, mind, and form, it is also chock full of drawings, as well as photographs that demonstrate these relationships. Even if you had no interest in how spirit forms matter, the drawings and pictures demonstrate visually that the same patterns exist throughout all natural forms, from galaxies to living beings. One of the more fascinating illustrations for me was how minerals transform their shapes through all the platonic solid shapes. I despised geometry when I was in school as a child, but this book gave me a new perspective and appreciation for the subject. It is really cool when you can see all these shapes in these deceptively simple yet beautiful drawings. The author took this study of form and tied it to multiple spiritual traditions, and this is for me the pure gold of the book. A note to literature purists: This book was written from lecture notes, and at times it is easy to tell that this is the case. I did not find this irritating, but it was noticed.
