First, I am a Clinical Nutritionist. Let me say first that this is a good product for some.Like anything else, everyone is different. Some may have side effects and some do not.Be careful if you have normal to low blood sugar as this can lower you enough to make you uncomfortable.I recommend taking this with food, NOT ON AN EMPTY STOMACH!!All that being said, I would recommend this over most weight loss so called fat burners out there that really don't work.Proper eating habits and exercise will always serve you better. This is loaded with antioxidants and is a natural food that will and does stimulate metabolism in a healthy way, and can help people with Type 2 Diabetes.This company's service is beyond great. They genuinely answered my questions without me having to chase them down. The syrup is sweet so I was able to add it to my coffee without altering the taste. I have to say my appetite was suppressed a good bit which is a good thing. I don't overeat anyway but just wanted to shed a few pounds for my own personal taste. This is a good way to do it. I was using it in combination with the Garcinia Cambogia and noticed weight loss the first week of about 3 pounds. Not complaining. I believe it is a good product and on occasion I actually just poured a teaspoon and took it straight. I drank a glass of water afterwards and kept moving. I recommend it.

nutribody 100% Pure Yacon Syrup is delicious. The initial taste is like that of molasses, then you taste the fudgy undertones - mmm yummy. This brand also appears to be of a very high quality. Alas! Even though it was just about the lowest priced brand that I saw online, it's still too expensive for me to buy regularly. I can't comment on its effectiveness as a weight loss aid since I bought just the one bottle, but the skeptic in me says that it's just another snake oil fad. Very tasty snake oil, though ;-)

Nutribody yacon syrup has a nice thick consistency with a chocolaty, raisin like taste. This was the very first brand i had ever tried and I loved it immediately. I use it in my lattes several times a day. After my first two bottles were finished I ordered 2 more but a different brand. Thinking all yacon syrup tastes the same. Huge mistake. This other syrup was watery and had the most awful taste i didn't want to even use it. It actually smelled like rubber cement! This other brand( which I also bought on Amazon) claimed to be the best and purest and highest rated etc. with a money back guarantee. Two weeks later, i did receive a phone call from the company asking mr how I liked their yacon syrup and I had to say that I didn't care for it at all and then I had to really tell the truth. I said it was awful. True to their word, they refunded my credit card which I wasn't expecting but they did. I couldn't wait to finish these awful 2 bottles which I forced myself to. I couldn't wait to reorder Nutrbody yacon. I ordered 3 more bottles and about to order more. I love this brand and will never try another brand because I personally don't think the flavor could get any better. And I prefer the thicker consistency too. Nutribody can get very thick on the bottom, so I like to store my bottles upside down. I find this solves the problem of the thickness stuck on the bottom of the jar.

I have been taking a spoonful of Yacon syrup for a couple of weeks now. I'm not crazy about the taste, but I still choke it down before most of my meals. I haven't noticed a significant loss of weight, maybe a couple of pounds, and it doesn't curb my appetite (unfortunately), but I haven't been very consistent as to the time I take my syrup. I was hoping for better results. However, I'm going to give it another try. I still have about 1/3 of the bottle left.Now on the other hand, my husband has been using the syrup, too, and he really likes it. He doesn't mind the taste, he said it controls how much he eats, and he's lost about 8 pounds! I started mine a couple of weeks before he did, then gradually quite. Now he has given me the motivation to start up again.

I first heard of the advantages of Yacon Syrup on a Dr. Oz show several weeks ago. I searched on Amazon for the syrup most highly rated and purchased two bottles of the Nutribody brand. I take a spoonful several times a day. Enamored with the taste, I've found it to be the perfect additive to my plain yogurt. Though I still have an ample supply, I recently ordered an additional bottle to insure not running out. While unsure of the overall benefits to me personally (given my moderately healthy diet and sometimey exercise regime) I believe that the syrup has increased my daily elimination and; while the loss of inches and belly fat (as opposed to weight loss) is my objective, I even feel lighter.

The taste of this syrup is great. To me, it tastes like molasses. I'm already following a low-sugar diet, so flavors really stand out to me. As for the other possible affects (weight loss aid and/or appetite suppression), I've not used the product consecutively enough to vouch for that.All in all, great product. Great taste.

I was looking for a natural product to help me with digestive problems and have so far found this product effective. I have stopped taking my acid-reducing prescription medicine and have had no adverse effects from that move. I think my biotic balance was more of the problem. I have not lost any weight but I have less bloating and gas. I enjoy the flavor. I have yet to determine whether it will lower my blood sugar.
