I have a Ring Video Doorbell 2 than has a strong southern sun exposure at my back door. This works wonderfully as a sunshade, keeping it from overheating in the summer and clear of snow in the winter. I did have to drill a hole in the back to run the wires through, but that was easy. I also painted it to match my house trim and used silicone caulking between it and the siding. It's design does not impede the doorbell function or camera view. One note however; I would recommend only painting the outside. If you paint the inside of this hood a light color, it can be overly reflective when the doorbell goes into night vision mode with the IR diodes.

I ordered this for a friend who uses a garage door type keypad out in front of their entry gate. It will keep a little bit of rain off the keypad but actually makes it look a lot nicer.

While the item was what I needed and it worked perfect. It was only one cover not two as stated.

It does not properly fit the GHOST transmitter, unless you drill new holes and leave off the battery cover, kind of defeating the weather resistant purpose of the item.

I have ordered 2 for electronic gates keypads. They are very good quality. I just ordered 2 more.

So far it’s keeping my ring doorbell dry. I have lost 1 ring doorbell and 3 batteries because of rain. This helps so far
