will these cut through ivy roots

This is a flimsy little machine that is not worth the money. It is not strong enough. No Ivy roots would totally stop it up. This is only strong enough to cut through soft dirt.

i have 2 snow joe 4ah batteries from my snow blower. will they work on this tiller?

I had the same question. Answer is "possibly" if your 4ah batteries are for the 24V snow joe. Go look at page 16 in the user manual (a link to the pdf is in the listing or at this URL https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/B1gqqyQjcQS.pdf) for the various batteries in the Sun Joe/Snow Joe 24V family that the manual says are compatible.

Yes .... the warranty for failure due to a defect in material or workmanship or as a result of normal wear and tear from ordinary use. The warranty period is two years with an extra 90 days if you register on-line

Will this work to cut up and get rid of bamboo roots?

No, I don't believe it would do that job. I use it to till beds that are already clear of sod. It's a good machine, but won't get through really tough stuff.
