Best sandals ever!
Beautifully made of top quality leather! I have some foot issues and really love the double sole with arch support! I have always loved my Rainbow sandals and this pair is no different! So comfortable and lightweight but sturdy and the appearance is so top notch. Highly recommend!

Great product
Repurchase. these were to replace one’s purchase two years ago. The arch support works very well. They are very comfortable at the same time. And they get worn almost every day so to get two years out of these very good.

Great shoes
I've have an old pair of Rainbows and wanted a newer "going out" pair. When I ordered, I couldn't remember the size of the last pair, so I measured my longest foot. It came in exactly at the 8 1/2 size. I normally wear a size 9 shoe so I went with the larger size because I had read that Rainbow sizes ran small. I have short toes which may play in to it being large, but my heel was further from the back than I wanted. I could wear these, but with the added 3 /8" at the toes, it sets me up for a trip. I've ordered the next size down which should be too small, but I believe that's the size of my last pair which was a single layer collegiate pair but perfect. With that being said, I love my Rainbows. I know it sounds strange but I have Planters Fasciitis. At it's worst, these were the only shoes I could wear with any level of comfort. I've had this problem for over a year and can't shake it even by adding pads to other shoes. It's nice to have something to slip on for around the house. They're too grungy to wear out. Rainbows are very tight and uncomfortable when you first get them and you have to break them in. My husband and I got our first pair at the same time. I'm in mine all the time around the house and they're soiled but in good shape. He hasn't even broken his in yet. I keep telling him how comfortable mine are so he's decided to give it a try. My son had a pair for years and wore them until the toe had worn all the way down to the pavement. I finally bought him another pair as a gift. No questions about the quality, durability and comfort. I never understood how such a simple looking shoe could wear so good. I do now. I'll be interested if I like the double stack as well as I liked the single.

Best Flip Flop on the market! Great arch support and nice padded heel makes long walks a breeze.
I had purchased the single layer thick strapleather sandal 2 years ago, wore them pretty much every day all summer long (I was allowed to wear them to work), and just now, after 2 years, they started losing their padded support on the pressure points of my feet (heel and ball). They are a very well made sandal and super comfortable. This time I went ahead and got the double layer thin strap leather sandal because I want that extra arch support and padding, and I hope they will last longer than 2 years. They had a minimal break in period - the straps were slightly snug and rubbed the inside of my feet a little raw the first time. After that they were fine. I remember when I first bought the thick strap sandals, they were instantly comfortable - - - no break in period. I love how they quickly mold to your feet, and the footbed is smooth and soft leather. I prefer leather footbeds because they do not hold odors like synthetics do, and leather allows your feet to breathe. I have taken many long walks in them already, and they are great at shock absorption and have a nice supportive arch. The one semi-negative thing I can think of to say is that the sizing is difficult. I normally wear a size 7.5-8 in any shoe, but in the Rainbow Sandal sizing chart, I found the Large (7.5-8.5) to be 3/4" too large. I wish I would have ordered the next size down, although I really don't think it has affected the function of the sandal. Only looks slightly too big for my feet.

Favorite pair of rainbows yet
Love these so much they fit perfectly and didn’t give issues breaking in. Snug strap without the blisters and the slight platform is comfortable and adorable

Arch support in flip flop form is nice
I had never owned a pair of Rainbows before this order but I had heard very good things. I sort of wish I had ordered these in the single layer as the double layer seems very difficult to break in. I wore them on "casual Friday" (which at my office is VERY casual) which consisted of walking to and from my car a couple times, a few strides around the office, and a short walk at lunchtime - maybe 6 blocks. I had a big blister under the strap on my left foot by the time I got home that night. It started to heal up so I wore them again on Monday without much of a problem. Instead of hurting my feet, however, the shoes were just really stiff. I pick up my feet when I walk but these shoes make an annoying "flip-flop-flip-flop" sound because they hit the ground so hard. I actually felt bad walking up the stairs to my apartment at a late hour because they were so loud. I will contribute this to the fact that they are heavy and seemingly well made and have not yet conformed to my feet, but I don't know how long that is expected to take. I got the double layer because I love wearing sandals and want them to be as durable as possible, but maybe I set myself up for this list of complaints by not buying the single layer. The arch support is great. I never though arch support existed in cute flip flops, but Rainbow made it happen. Honestly, I could stand to use an even bigger orthopedic support but these are not much smaller than the real deal that most people can only get with inserts. It is much more comfortable to wear and walk in these than the cheap flip flops I used to buy, for obvious reasons. I like them and I will keep them. I look forward to the day that they are sufficiently broken in and I will likely buy a few more sandals in different styles. But next time I'll probably buy the single layer instead of the double.

The Biggest Risk Is Someone Claiming Them
This is my fourth pair of Rainbow sandals over the past 20 years—but not because they wear out. My sister-in-law claimed my first pair, and my 16-year-old daughter permanently “borrowed” another. Apparently, good sandals don’t stay in my closet for long. I have long toes and fairly bony feet, and the narrow double-layer style has always fit me well. With this pair, I simply wore them around the house for a couple of days before committing to hours of wear, and I never developed any hot spots. I have owned another Rainbow style with braided straps that took considerably longer to break in. For those, my trick was wearing damp socks around the house until the leather softened. These smooth leather straps, however, were comfortable much more quickly. After twenty years, I don’t really shop for flip-flops anymore. I just replace whichever pair mysteriously disappears into a family member’s closet.
