Went to a baby shower where the guests were asked to bring a book to build up the new baby’s library. I wanted this to be more meaningful than simply picking a book off the shelf. I’m 71 years old. This was my absolute favorite book as a little child. Must have read or had it read to me literally hundreds of times! I was thrilled to find this Golden Book still in print. Many of today’s kids don’t even know what a Little Golden Book is! Note: I also bought one of the lesser known Dr. Seuss books…”The 500 Hat of Bartholomew Cubbins”…which was a favorite of mine as an older child!

I LOVE The Color Kittens - A Little Golden Book - My Granddaughter is having her first child ( my first great - grandchild), and I purchased this book hoping it would be like the original - It was, even the drawings are identical! I was so pleased, and I think my granddaughter ( and daughter ) will be too. It's a wonderful, happy, fun filled story. I recommend this little golden book to everyone

My favorite from childhood. Mom read it to me and I read it over and over when I learned to read. A few days ago I told my partner about it and, of course, I found it on Amazon.

The Color Kittens is a book my mother read to me, I read to my children, and now I read to my grandchildren. I love that's it's education - mixing primary colors to get new colors. Brush and Hush are the cutest painters ever!!!!!!!! Kids of all ages love this book!

My favorite childhood book. The colors of paints inspired me at a young age to love art. I like to keep a copy around in case a child visits. I gave one to Ishmael from Guatemala who i babysat for a while. Hope it brought him joy too

I grew up with this book as one of my favorites. I bought this one for my grandson. It shows how when colors get mixed they make new colors. It’s fun and educational.

The Color Kittens is an amazing, inspirational tale. It's about two cute kitties wearing pants who dreamed bonkers stuff, jacked up their job, and ended up creating everything that is beautiful in the world. "There were all the colors in the world and the color kittens had made them"

I was thrilled that my beloved childhood book is still in print 60 years later. This is a wonderful, poetic and colourful story that my own grandchildren adore. It is their favourite bedtime story. The two little kittens, with their buckets of colour, mix and make all the colours in the world. The pictures are enchanting, and, dare I say, educational, as my grandchildren get out their paints and practise the colour mixing themselves. Add to that the poetic writing of Margaret Wise Brown, and you have the perfect story for young children.

Version originale des Chatons barbouilleurs. Cette version est largement plus complète que celle que j'ai connu sous format des petits livres d'argent et ressemble à la version du petit livre d'or des années 1950. On voit enfin tous les mélanges de couleurs fait par les chatons pour arriver à la couleur verte. Vert comme les yeux de chats. Vert comme les plantes, l'épinard, le réséda, Vert comme les eaux courantes.... donc, beaucoup de poésie autour des couleurs primaires. Un émerveillement pour les vieux enfants et les plus jeunes.

Beautiful illustrations just as i remember. Had this one as a part of my childhood story collection. Wanted them for my daughter. Its a treasure!
