Interesting book on auras with new age prayers. Since I'm a Christian I would use her prayers if I reformat them to Jesus Christ.

Shumsky discusses important concepts relating to energy flows. The power of persuasion transfers Prana energy. Examples of famous presidential speakers include Abe Lincoln, the Roosevelts, John F. Kennedy and even Ronald Reagan. Franklin Roosevelt was quite adept at transferring positive energy and a sense of wellness of being in his famous fireside chats. Shumsky explains each of the 14 chakras or energy flows which include the Muladhara (root), Svadhishthana (the self), Manipura (burning digestion), Anahata (silence unstuck), Hrit (heart), Vishuddha (purification), Talu (nectar of immortality, Ajna (command center), Manas (mind), Indu (moon), Nirvana (ego dissolution), Guru (teacher), Sahasrara ( thousandfold) and the Bindu which is the energy center. During thousands of near-death experiences, survivors recall seeing subtle bodies of light clearly. In fact, orbs have been witnessed emanating from dying people at the point of death. Shumsky even provides a roadmap of our auras. The basic aura elements include the gross body, the subtle body, the causal body and higher bodies. According to the author, the subtle body does not change after death. It has working senses, knowing senses and energy centers. The higher self clothed in the subtle body moves to a higher body so that your earthly capacities and tendencies endure even after death. Dr. Duncan MacDougall MD calculated that the soul weighs half an ounce which is the difference in weight just before death and right afterward. Research into the human energy field has focused on a luminous glow around living organisms differing slightly between men and women.The densest portion of the aura is around the head and shoulders. The energy field tends to be greatest around the waist. The author mentioned a very controversial aspect to life after death for some people. They do not enter into the Divine Light for a number of reasons which include unawareness of death, disbelief in an afterlife, shame from committing suicide, vengeance, unfinished business on earth and disunion from organ donations. The Power of Auras is a fascinating work on our higher order existence, as well as life of the subtle body after death. The book is well researched with an extensive bibliography of books, journals and internet references.
