what is the difference between Numotizine Poultice and Numotizine Cataplasm?

Cataplasm was the original version of numotizine. My grandmother and mother used it in the early 1900's. It has beechwood creosote in it where from what I've read the poultice doesn't. The original version is better as far as my experience.

There isn't any real expiration on this product beyond the federally mandated one (several years). As long as the lid is kept closed, and the product doesn't dry out, it is still effective.
