One flaw
I like it even more after modification. It's material looks like it will last longer than my older ones. It's flaw is that it's as light as water? I installed it yesterday and opened the cover today and found it floating up-side-down. All the leaves went into the pump screen. The fix was to attach a weight to the inside bottom.

Same as the original
This is the same basket at least in comparable criteria as the one that originally came with my pool. It does the job and has that ostensibly stainless steel rod traversing the top of the basket, allowing for a quick grab and removal of the basket for cleaning. I have been using filter socks on my inline leaf filter and would like to use one in the surface skimmer also. It's possible to use a sock on this basket, but I haven't tried it yet. It's a quality basket and a keeper, so try it. Good luck everyone.

These are by far the best baskets you can buy. They will eventually break to pieces like all of them, but these will last the longest. You’ll just pay more for these.
