Didn't want to go too big so I got a budget setup . I think based on a lot of recommendations from various enthusiast web site I finally decided to get this one. I was a bit worried. Todd, manual grinding might be a little bit tedious. ... And difficult. But I've been pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure if it's a function of this particular grinder or.. maybe all decent quality grinders are this easy. But once I dialed into around 35 clicks as a starting point, I was shocked how easy it was to grind out the beans... It was also pretty quick too. The micro adjustments are extremely welcomed because I was playing around with ground sizes and I narrowed down to 31 clicks as my sweet spot for my particular Bean. It's actually incredible how huge of a difference tiny adjustments make to your final espresso.When I first started using it, I kind of made a mess. After 4 or 5 grinds, I got pretty good at it and didn't make too much of a mess thereafter. Of course, this is way more tedious than automatic grind all in one type automatic machines, or even electric single dose grinders.... Quite frankly, one of these days I will definitely upgrade to one. However, I'm amazed how easy it is to quickly grind your own beans with this tool.The quality of second to none. For the price of this grinder, the build quality and solid feel, is outstanding. Super easy to clean. The handle is really large and that's what made grinding being so easy.This tool can grind your beans so small and fine, that it will choke most espresso machines. It's good to know you have that level of granularity with this tool.Now in terms of zero point ... Mine was off by four clicks. But it's easy to just make offsets based on the markings on the tool. From what I read online, almost every k6 grinder has some offsets from zero. So you just have to remember what your specific tool is offset from zero and dial in accordingly... There's no way to adjust this to calibrate to zero. It's just manufacturing tolerance. I'm just grateful that with the k6 series, the dial is external as opposed to lower end models that are dialed inside the gearing . Less mess.I think you can't go wrong if you're starting out in the world of coffee and you're looking for a really good espresso grinder.

Este molino lo compré porque estuve leyendo que era bueno por los siete dientes que tienen en su molino. Además sé que el café de especialidad puede tomar una mejor calidad en su molienda y las notas que suelta en paladar son mucho más estables. Me gusta que él ajustador está en la parte de afuera. Los materiales se vende excelente calidad

We haven't used it but it came with a defect, the top edge of the aluminum body has a little chip in it. I'm sure it will still grind coffee very well. It makes me wonder if it passed QC with this damage? Or was it previously bought and returned?
