It worked for a two year old with an older brother.
Yes the elder always so far had a lego advent calender so wanted one for the younger brother. This worked. Safe size pieces making up a play scene/card mat which came as part of the box.

Eigener Baumschmuck für Kinder...
Sehr toller und liebevoll gestalteter Kalender. Unser Sohn hat ihn kurz nach seinem 1. Geburtstag nutzen können und der Inhalt ist absolut geeignet. Auch wenn er es noch nicht genau verstanden hat. Wir als Eltern hatten sogar sich Mega Spaß und haben und jeden Tag gefreut das nächste Türchen zu öffnen :)) Mega süß finden wir die Anhänger für den Weihnachtsbaum. So hatte er seine eigenen Anhänger am Baum. Den Tuttut-Schlitten findet er auch nach Monaten jetzt noch toll.

Idealer Adventskalender auch für die Kleinen
Also wir haben uns für den Tut Tut- Adventskalender entschieden, weil unser Sohn sich rasend für Autos interessiert und die Tut Tut Flitzer einfach klasse sind. Die Kleinen (unser Sohn 1,5 J.) kann sie gut halten und bespielen, die Lichteffekte und die Melodien sind natürlich auch unglaublich interessant und für den jetzigen Preis von knapp 10€ ist das wirklich geschenkt. Das Kind wird täglich Spaß haben und wir freuen uns wenn sich die Kids freuen. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
