GREAT VALUE!
Unbelievable Value! I read the other reviews, but my knife was perfect! The grind was even and the handle pins are perfectly flush with the beautiful wood handle. The real leather sheath needed a little mink oil due to being a little dry. The knife blade is razor sharp. The steel appears tO be 420 or 440 stainless steel. For the price. . . ? AWESOMESAUCE!

Better than more expensive knives
Was not expecting much from a 13$ knife. It works, like reall works. Took it out of the box and batoned wood, then feathered some sticks. I was surprised it could baton but, feathering sticks after without sharpening is impressive for 13$. It isn't the greatest knife ever but if you are looking for a bush knife that can do it and do it cheap. This is the one. It works better than my more expensive 30$ knives for it. Update, still splits hardwood but the blade is starting to warp a little. Still works though

Definitely worth it.
Alright, so it's a $10 Pakistani knife. Adjust your expectations accordingly. I think it's pretty awesome for the money. It's got a Kephart vibe. A solid, sexy lookin' hunk of steel. As others have mentioned, the leather sheath alone would likely cost more than the knife/sheath combo your looking at here. It's (the sheath) super nice - thick and well-stitched. As for the pretty handle (which caught my eye immediately in the pictures), it has a few minor imperfections, but nothing that can't be easily corrected with a little sandpaper and steel wool. A couple of the small diameter brass pins on either side protrude a bit, but hardly enough to complain. Believe it when others tell you that this blade will come to you completely and totally dull. Wow. It took some time to get this up to snuff, but it did take an edge. In fact, I got it pretty dang sharp. As to whether it will retain that level of sharpness after a few tasks has yet to be seen. Just buy the thing. For less than a fast food value meal, you'll get a decent knife and an even more decent leather sheath. See it as an opportunity to learn how to sharpen a blade. Buy it for a kid, keep it in your vehicle, or use it as a tool box/beater knife.

Looks cool. Comes really dull.
Interesting knife. Made in Pakistan. I was interested in getting a Sailor's type knife and this one looks the type. A good real leather sheath. Nice wood for the handle. Small brass rivets look cool. I don't know anything about the type of steel in the blade. Be aware this knife comes very dull. I'll need to take a while doing some grinding to try to get an edge. Fingers crossed I can get a useable edge. For the price it'll be a fun project.

Excellent value You have nothing to lose.
I have purchased two and just bought a third. I have knives from all over the world and this is quickly becoming may favorite. It is the Goldilocks knife for me. Beefy but not too beefy, Big but not too big, The wood handle has had a beautiful grain on both knives. the metal i thought stainless? Right. But it won't take an etch after 2 hours of trying so whatever steel it is it's good enogh for me. The leather case is already forming to the knife after a few days so no wet processing here. It stays firm in the sheath yet is easy to pull. It's even comfortable for me to tuck into my front pocket. Problems? Of the two so far I gade to take off a burr on the handle steel, took less than a minute. Until it forms the generous yhickness of the grips make it a little stubborn to get into thesheath all the way but as it forms that is less of an issue. The handle is so msoothly finished I took a file and cut in some shallow grooves for grip and it's perfect. A knife you can make your own! The only thing I haven't figured out is the funny detail in the blade that looks like, well not sure what it looks like... anyone know? Bottom line for the price, buy it what do you have to lose?

Worth more than it's cost
I am not and expert but I collect and own hundreds of knives. This is an honest no frills EDC knfe from Pakistan. It is not supposed to be a perfect drop point but it is the most common/utiltarian of the major blade shapes. I softened the sheath with Neatsfoot oil and polished the knife and sheath (after 24hrs) with Renaissance wax. It has steel that can be easily shapened in the field and that is the requirement for a survival knife.

It’s Crazy dull, and Cheaply made…of course for the Price right?
Do not buy this if you don’t know how to sharpen a knife. It came uselessly dull. Craftsmanship is about a 5 of 10. I spent some time sharpening it, and its razor sharp now. I also sanded down the handles sharp edges. It’s nice now, but I won’t recommend it or buy another one.

To clean it from the sap and crap from this use
I read some of these reviews and I think, are we talking about the same thing? Or, is there that much inconsistency in the manufacturing of the same thing?? I use mine in the yard to cut away vines and whatever gets wraps around the head of the weed eater and lawn mower blade and other such sundry yard uses. To clean it from the sap and crap from this use, I douse it with gasoline and wipe it off on my pants leg. It looks just like I took it out of the shipping packaging, a year ago. It is probably the best money I have spent on a knife. And the sheath is good too. Although, it had these little dangly adornments attached to it that I didn't care too much for, so I used the knife and cut them off. I don't expect it to hold an edge forever under the uses I put it thru so, I use a wet stone every now and then that I spit on and sometimes a drop of 3-n-1 and also the kitchen knife sharpener my Wife has. Its always ready to go when I need it. Cant imagine anyone being very disappointed, especially for the investment. If it was made of gold or sterling, I would give it a 5. But, for now it deserves a solid 4.

A classic
This is an old popular style knife. Good thickness and very sharp. I like the smaller rivets. Handle is solid dense wood. This is a real good work knife. I oiled the handle and it's real nice, feels good holding in any direction. There are other companies making this style knife at much higher prices but I'm very happy with the quality of this knife and I have about 200 medium priced knives. You won't be disappointed.

Schlecht verarbeitetes Messer

Great knife, ordered two
Great knife, ordered two, one had the cutting edge perfectly centered and the second had an off set cutting edge. Nonetheless, still great knives for the price, used them to skin and cut up a moose and still have a good edge
