Finally found a nice set of placemats! They look classy like linen, but are much more durable and are versatile for use every day. Perfect cream/ivory color. Creases came out with a quick steam iron. Haven’t washed them yet, but will update when I do. Update: I have washed them numerous times and they come out perfectly! Everything seems to come out in the wash! Even Wine after a spray of pre-treatment. Super impressed with these placemats.

These surpassed my expectations! The Teal color is spot-on. Not too green, not too powdery blue. It's just a nice true light teal that throws some serious coastal vibes. When received, I washed them on warm and dried them on medium heat to about 80%. Then laid them flat to finish. Not a single wrinkle! Very pretty, nice quality, nice weight. I did not take a picture, but they look just as shown on the site. Would purchase again!

I like the cloth as opposed to the plastic. Nice, pretty. Be advised that if it goes through a specific warehouse in Kentucky it will almost certainly be late. It comes, eventually. If you want them, order ahead. The quality is good and I will be using them for a long time.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Color, size, and washable. Looks very nice and lays nice and flat. Black isn’t the easiest color to find in a nice place mat, these are awesome!

Beautifully made Washes well I bought them 3 times!!

I literally spent HOURS looking for just the right placemats. I wanted bright white, and I wanted them to be really thick and double sided. I looked at so many that were linen but were not lined. I wanted something heavier weight to protect my new dining room table. Then I found these. There are so many nice features on these. First, they are bigger than a lot of the others. At 19" wide, there is plenty of room to squeeze all the potential table top hazards on it, including drinks and water glasses that can sweat. The white is a nice bright white as I wanted too. I ordered the set of 8 but am going back to order more. I see that the cost per item for a set of 6 is less than the set of 8, which I find odd but, I only want 6 more so I have plenty of extras. Being white, I don't anticipate them to look as fresh and new over time as I will want them to be. I did not go back to the Amazon listing to look at the material care for these placemats. The listing says to wash them FIRST before using, and DO NOT IRON. That is so weird. I don't understand why they don't want you to iron these. When my placemats arrived, they were folded and so of course they had creases. I ironed them. I had to turn my iron way down to a "silk" setting because a higher setting was way too hot. I did notice that as I ironed, the front and backs of these placemats fused together! I had to iron carefully to make sure I didn't iron in wrinkles. In one of my pictures, it shows how I didn't get one right. I am thinking there was some kind of interfacing on the fabric that gave them structure, and the heavy weight I liked in them. They ironed up BEAUTIFULLY and ended up looking like something you'd see at a fine dining restaurant, which is the look wanted. But, I guess I will see what happens when I wash them, whether ironing them (at all) and fusing them creates a problem. I do find it interesting that the listing states it is normal to have "pieces" inside the placemats after washing. I do a little bit of sewing, so again, this leads me to believe there is some sort of fuseable interfacing on the fabric. Overall, these white placemats are perfect for what I see at this point. At under $4 apiece, I don't mind if I occasionally have to replace some out. I love how they look and feel when they are pressed, despite the manufacturer's instructions.

Writing this review TWO YEARS later. We use these at least 3 times every week. I don’t know how they made them look & feel so natural. We have the natural linen color and it actually looks and feels like linen. Whatever they are made with, it DOES NOT STAIN. We are a family that cooks with a high amount of food items that stain: Turmeric, cumin, chili, paprika, roasted meats, red wine. I have yet to find any food that stains these things. I just throw them in the washer on a normal cycle. No extra treatments. Then I tumble dry them. They do not need to be ironed. They come out of the tumble dryer as good as new. I don’t take care of these things at all, and yet they still look brand new after two years. Considering the level of abuse these things have endured, I don’t know how they STILL look like new. I am only writing this review because I searched in my purchase history to buy them for a friend. Highly recommend.

I love my new purple placemats. The color is a beautiful deep true purple. They are easy to clean by brushing off after use.

I bought 6 black and 4 yellow. The color is exactly as pictured on website. They arrived folded but it was easy to iron. It is thick and durable. These are the best placemat so far.

I wanted a placemat that could be used every day and be easy maintenance. I washed these with a load of similar colours. They were dried on the perma press setting. I laid them out flat.They did not need any ironing. I am very pleased and must admit that sometimes reviews can be misleading but I will vouch for the quality of these placemats,
