Diccionario Esencial de la Lengua Espanola (Spanish Edition) Paperback – August 1, 2007

This book has what I essentially needed in it, although I would have preferred to spend more money and get a larger book. This book has the essentials, although, most languages have a lot more than 33,000 words. The major problem with the book is that the print is very small, and unless you have perfect vision, it is likely that you are going to need glasses to read it. For those, however, who want a basic understanding of Spanish, (The book is a Spanish dictionary, Spanish words are defined in Spanish), this book is very adequate. For those who want to be very fluent in Spanish, or Spanish speakers themselves, I would advise a larger dictionary.

Learning espanol? this is one of many wonderful Spanish books sold by Amazon that I really like. So far I have purchased from Amazon maybe 20 books like this; verb books, synonym books, several dictonarys, grammar books I can't get enough, very pleased

I bought this for a friend who is a native Spanish speaker. He hears words in English and he can look up the words in a Spanish-English dictionary, but sometimes he isn't exactly sure which word is the best. The Spanish dictionary helps him sort out various words that have similar meanings. He's very happy with the dictionary.

This is an excellent dictionary for those who speak Spanish well but need a dictionary to expand Spanish words knowledge and usage in Latin America. Great value. Just make sure you get the -Esencial- volume as there are similar versions that provide translations from Spain rather than Latin America.

Great coverage of vocabulary. Shows how usage of word often varies according to geographical region of use. Please note that it is not bilingual but that helps one to learn the language because you can't cheat by means of looking at ones mother tongue to interpret examples

It looks like something you copied 50 times on a photocopier.I know it was cheap but it's border line usable.

It's really hard to find a Spanish monolingual dictionary but here it is - its a simple dictionary but has a lot of content and is a nice size to carry around without being too small to read or have enough content.

It's good for the price but I would rather have paid a more to have something bigger than 18 x 11 cm.

The media could not be loaded.  He comprado este diccionario para tenerlo en casa y poder consultarlo de vez en cuando.Las paginas son un poco débiles (como de papel periódico) y las palabras quizás son un poco demasiado pequeñas, aunque el que sean tan pequeñas es lo que hacen que el diccionario sea tan compacto.Un error que creo que es bastante grande, es que en la parte trasera del diccionario viene marcado un precio en dólares, he pagado prácticamente el doble de lo que marca si hacemos el cambio a euros... deberían al menos tapar este precio.Basado en mi experiencia recomiendo su compra.Espero este review hay sido ÚTIL.
