That I don't know; but I do know they will last at least that long if they're not over-charged and by that I mean at too high a rate. A small 2A charger is probably the best to use to charge one.

can battery be installed on its side? under vehicle chassis?

its a lead acid battery. same on the inside as a regular car battery but thicker plates. have you ever seen a car battery on its side? i believe you would need an all glass mat aka an AGM or GEL battery to safely use it while on its side or even upside down. google "what types of batteries can i install on its side?"
