Pace counters or ranger beads are manual counting tools used to keep track of distance traveled through a pace count. Made of 13 or more beads on a length of cord that are divided into two sections, separated by a knot. 9 beads are used in the lower section, and 4 or more beads are used in the upper section. This system was originally developed by our military. There are two ways to use the beads. One represents the paces you have walked, while the other is the distance walked. Getting your pace count: Measure out 100 meters Walk the entire 100 meters while counting every time your left foot touches the ground Use your typical stride and pace or your later count will be off Using the Beads Each of the bottom beads equals 100 meters traveled Each of the top beads represents a kilometer traveled While using your pace count, every time you have traveled 100 meters, slide one bead from the bottom section down Once you have used all 9 beads from the bottom section, you will then slide one of the top 4 down after you have traveled another 100 meters. This means you have traveled 1 kilometer. Separator is adjustable and can be moved up or down depending on your preference. Need more or less beads for your counting needs? Or need a different configuration? ;message us before purchase, we can customize. ## Features - Ranger Pace Counting Beads are a simple way to measure distances traveled by foot, particularly at night when visibility can be an issue - Heavy duty durability - Stylish and Inconspicuous - Easy to use and Easy to carry and conceal - Hand made in the USA with American purchased products by Disabled Veterans - These Compact beads measure approx 12mm x 5mm - Cord is 550 pound strength paracord - buckle is 3/8" ABS plastic - Beads slide smoothy - Separator is adjustable - Contact us about custom colors, sizes, or bead counts - Sizing - measure wrist and add 1/2 inch for a snug fit or 1 inch for a comfortable fit ## Images ![RedVex Compact Pace Counter Bead Bracelet - Land Navigation Bracelet - Choose Your Size and Color - Customization Available - Image 1](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/712xJECmZqL.jpg) ![RedVex Compact Pace Counter Bead Bracelet - Land Navigation Bracelet - Choose Your Size and Color - Customization Available - Image 2](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71oesszfP6L.jpg) ![RedVex Compact Pace Counter Bead Bracelet - Land Navigation Bracelet - Choose Your Size and Color - Customization Available - Image 3](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71XiL9LJ84L.jpg) ![RedVex Compact Pace Counter Bead Bracelet - Land Navigation Bracelet - Choose Your Size and Color - Customization Available - Image 4](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71S2VUiSxbL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality. *by L***W on Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2020* The quality of this product is very good. The only drawback is that the sizing runs a little small. I upsized my order one half inch so that bracelet would be a little loose but it still fits tight. I would recommend upsizing a full inch. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it! *by S***T on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2019* Well made, very pleased! I really appreciated the lagniappe (Cajun for a little something extra- pronounced Lon yop). Fast shipping and a great price, highly recommend!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best customer service -- and high quality product. *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2020* 1. The raving fans about their customer service is real.2. I worked with Harold to come up with a custom solution. Patience and understanding were amazing.3. High quality4. Supporting veterans, made in the USAll the points above tipped me over to happily buy. Would definitely recommend. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/84189453-redvex-compact-pace-counter-bead-bracelet-land-navigation-bracelet-choose](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/84189453-redvex-compact-pace-counter-bead-bracelet-land-navigation-bracelet-choose) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
