I am a fan of Gin. There are a lot of expensive gins out there and after reading some articles on making your own, I decided to give it a try to save some cash. These Juniper Berries turned out to be perfect for making gin - Just opening the package, the strong hint of Juniper wafts out into the room. Each 750 ml bottle takes 2 tablespoons of Juniper berries. I also add a teaspoon of angelica root (also from Amazon), dried lemongrass and dried licorice root from Amazon, coriander seeds that I get at the grocery store, and a few black peppercorns. These go into a jar with some good quality vodka and sits for only 2 days. You can then filter out all the solids and bottle your gin. It's fun to try adding a pinch of other ingredients, like dried lavender, dried orange and lemon peel, etc. to add some unique flavor to your gin. My gin gets rave reviews from visitors saying it is better than what they can buy. So, these Juniper Berries will keep me stocked with my favorite gin for some time.

For my sister's birthday, she wanted a taco party with carnitas. We looked up a few recipes and found that while slow cooking the pork, if you added whole dried juniper berries it would impart an awesome peppery taste. I am really happy with the quality and price of the MagJo juniper berries. All of the carnitas were devoured at the party, luckily there were plenty more juniper berries in this bag to make more!

Very nice , fresh dry juniper berries . Price is reasonable. I compère them to other brand berries I have , and can tell they are fresh . Taste nice and have a beautiful aroma. Will buy again from this company. Thanks

Whole juniper berries are not easy to find at a good price. These are quite large and aromatic.

I do a lot of stir fry dishes. I will purchase this item again.

love this. especially now that it's almost the holidays. stock up for the coming holidays. you can use this in a lot of recipes. i used mine in brining my turkey along w/ other herbs & spices. my family loved it!
