Tony's writing is so inviting. You can hear his voice as you are reading. Completely true as restaurants are run and a must read so the ignorant (most everyone) know some of the tricks from behind the scenes. I will never eat Hollandaise sauce at a restaurant EVER again. No fish on Monday's unless I know the chef, Sunday Brunch, well I know how to handle this and "Specials", I've always known where these foods come from. It's a fun read, a lifelong story with great facts everyone should know.

It's not too late to read this bestseller from 20 years ago. AB through TV on CNN has proven himself not just quite the character, but an interesting observer of countries, events, and peoples in our current world. The surprise is he too was a very good writer, entertaining as well. Kitchen Confidential is a good read. I continue to miss him.

An easy read with great story telling - and it just might turn you off to certain restaurants once you learn what goes on. Loved this edition that’s peppered with personal comments from Bourdain in the margins. I am giving my copy to a friend who works in an eatery and loves Anthony. If you are a foodie or just loved Anthony - a must read.

It is a shame that we lost such a talented chef, writer, and tour guide. The book is very interesting, and funny in several parts. This addition has handwritten notes by A. Bourdine in the margins that are a great plus. If you enjoy cooking, restaurants, and clever stories, this is a book you need to read!

Absolutely love this book, my English teacher told us to get this book which I thought was going to be boring but it turned out to be one of the most interesting books ever! It does not only talk about cuisine but the Bourdain's story behind it.

Great book. Easy to read or listen to. Not only was it entertaining, but also very educational. Bourdain writes like he talks.
