If that bothers you, then quit your job and work in a factory. Tell your kids to give up college ambitions and go work in factories. “Make Poor Working Conditions and Manual Labor Great Again.” **Q: will these work on a Ryobi cordless palm sander with 5" velcro pad (8 holes)?** A: Yes, 5 inch orbital sanders with 8 holes and hook and loop system use any disc for 5 inch hook and loop sanders with 8 holes. **Q: I want to sand down a varnished set of drawers. Whats the best grit to use?** A: Depends on how thick the varnish. You might want to try 80 grit first. If it's too slow drop down to 40 grit. If it's too thick of a varnish, use some sort of paint/varnish remover first. Then progress up the ladder of grits. Possibly 40 grit, 80 grit, 100 grit, 150 grit and finally 220 grit. If you're going to paint, I would stop at 150 grit. **Q: Are either these 3000 grit or perhaps the 2000 grit an acceptable alternative to #0000 steel wool after the final coat of polyurethane on wood?** A: I would say no. The Furniture industry will use 1500 grit on a rubbing machine to achieve a smooth finish. Their machine is not rotary but is moving back and forth on a straight line and they are using overlapping strokes which go with the grain. Depending on the sheen they want they will use compound with felt pads on the same machine to take out the scratches left by the 1500 grit. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dura-Gold Premium - Variety Pack - 5" Gold Sanding Discs - 8-Hole Dustless Hook and Loop - 10 Each of Grit (60, 80, 120, 220, 320) - Box of 50 Sandpaper Finishing Discs for Woodworking or Automotive - DEWALT Random Orbit Sander, Variable Speed, 5-Inch (DWE6423) - WORKPRO 150PCS Triangle Sanding Pads, 3-1/8 Inch Hook and Loop Fit for Oscillating Multi Tool, 40/60/80/120/180/240 Grit for Sanding, Grinding --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/84079425-dura-gold-5-gold-sanding-disc-grit-assortment-8-hole](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/84079425-dura-gold-5-gold-sanding-disc-grit-assortment-8-hole) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
