In some statements it says the lamp requires an e14 bulb and in this you say an e12. I bought this kind of lamp in Spain but need the bulb. Which one?

I have 2 and they both take e12. if it's your initial purchase one comes in the box.

What kind of American bulbs do you use in this lamp?

The lamp comes with a bulb, but it is a square LED bulb that can be purchased at Lowe’s or Home Depot. I just took a picture of the bulb when I went to get a new one and it was right there with all the bulbs. But the one that comes with the lamp lasts a long time.

No it is not. It has an on/off switch on the cord. We use it in our bathroom as a night lite.
