What is the weight limit for back support? Could this support a 280 lb person?

My guess is yes. It's really sturdy

Did instructions/paper work come with this stadium seat? If so, I did not receive them.

Yes. I believe a small postcard size tag was attached to the seat. Instuctions on lifting the chair and flattening it out. Spartan, but adequate for this simple product. Product works well.

Is the cover removable to wash in a washing machine?

The Cover is Removable but will be very hard to put back on. so it is Not Recommended to do so.

Has anyone tried to use these at concert venues that specifically state "no chairs of any type allowed?" Do they look more like cushions than chairs?

Lakes flat they just look like a cushion. Although a sharp eye would be able to tell it folks into a chair
