Works for what I want! I used to end up with squished/exploded bananas in my bag but this was a big help. Just did 4 stars because it's a little pricey and the latches are a bit difficult sometimes. But works well for its intended use!

So... well, okay. My coworkers teased me about it for a few weeks when I first started bringing it to work. Now it's just a standard item - my banana holder just chillin' on the counter by my water bottle. :3It is a sturdy holder that doesn't show any signs of wear after quite a few months of constant use. It keeps my banana TOTALLY safe in my lunch box, packed alongside my 36-ounce bottle of water, a Lean Cuisine, a yogurt, a spoon and fork, an apple, and a granola bar. I also have other essentials in there as well: dental floss, gum, headphones, clear coat nail polish, a hair brush, ibuprofen. My banana can sit at the bottom of all of this in its holder and come out PERFECT! No bruises, no mush.

This holder is OK, it protects the banana from bruising. The hinge is a piece of plastic, and mine has torn halfway through after only 5 uses, so I don't se it lasting for long. Probably not worth it for the price.

A plastic casing for a banana might seem silly, but I've found this one really useful. Whenever I would take bananas to work before, they would usually get so bruised in my bag that I wasn't very tempted to eat them. When carrying them in this thing, they hold up a lot better. I'm also a bit amazed at the fact that almost any banana will fit in this case.

Based on the good reviews, I went with this product over many much cheaper options.It turns out it's almost impossible to find a banana that can fit. I thought perhaps sliding a small banana along the curve, might work, but no. The stems won't fit, and cutting those off rips open the banana anyway if you're not careful. Many bananas have the wrong girth too, and have to squish to fit or bounce around. I suggest looking for a different product with an adjustable curve. Or taking this case with you and wandering store to store, measuring carefully and trying to find a single banana from bunches of bunches from different trucks, like fitting Cinderella's glass slipper.

The case is very big! I don't think we get bananas this size readily in India. But the quality of the product is very good. My son has been manhandling it because he thinks it is toy and the product is still in top shape.You can easily carry 2 medium sized bananas in one case.

Very useful product, shape is a bit different to what is shown in image but, suits almost all bananas with different shapes.
