Love this book that goes with my cards

I’ve never watched the Lord of the Rings film or read the books but I like that sort of genre, so being a tarot card collector I thought I’d give these a whirl. I like the fact they double up as tarot cards and a game. I liked the artwork and each card has the traditional card description on it at the left hand side, eg ‘three of wands’ etc. Even though the scenes on them feature characters from Lord of the Rings, they aren’t too far removed from the traditional tarot card illustrations and meanings. Each card also gives you a summary of its illustration at the bottom. That’s great as it helps you to interpret the cards by just giving you a basic meaning/ small clue to expand upon yourself when your intuition kicks in! I think they’d be good for people learning to do tarot readings, though I guess many experts would still recommend a more traditional pack for novices.

I LOVE this deck ! Card stock could be a bit thicker - but is good. The cards themselves make up for any detriments. I find this deck extremely accurate and intuitive and easy to read. Fantastic product and seller - only wish it came with the larger guidebook to the LOTR story in relation to the cards. The small guidebook that is included gives good accurate details of basic tarot interpretations,, but is limited in scope, from a tarot perspective, as well as from the point of view of LOTR itself, as other than the short blurb at the bottom of each card doesn’t tell you much of the story that relates to the card. You really need the larger guidebook for that which I was hoping this product came with. The sample Celtic cross spread is a thoughtful addition to this little guidebook. I love the way the deck is divided into ‘free peoples’, and ‘dark forces’ categories, as well as the ‘one ring’ and ‘neutral’ categories because it gives an alternative way of looking at the cards and reading them and gives a unique, deeper and helpful perspective on your read. The artwork is superb and the cards are a nice size that makes shuffling and laying out the cards comfortable and easy. If you love LOTR you will love this deck.
